Very nice and good for travel, pregnant lady approved.
Written by Yuliia.I bought this mat for my travels in Europe and I used it very frequently there. Not for Yoga, but for prenatal Pilates. At that time I was 5 months pregnant and wanted to stay active and do my exercise to feel good and strong for walking and exploring new places. This mat is quite cushiony. At home I have been using two standard yoga mats – one on top of another. This one is not quite as thick as two yoga mats together, but it is thicker than the standard one. It feels nice. Also, it is quite long. Too long for me, but I don’t mind the extra space. What I love about this mat is the way it folds. I don’t have to roll it, simply fold it. The first time it took me a bit of time to figure how to fold it. Now I am able to fold this mat in a couple of seconds. Very easy. Bend in half, one, two, three – done.Another thing I really like about this mat is that it is pretty hygienic. I always put it “mountain” side up, so whenever I use it – I am sitting on a clean side. The grid on the mat is helpful as well. I can easily align myself properly. And one final thing – because it folds in a rectangular shape it actually fits in a bag. It can be a backpack or yoga bag. It doesn’t have to be anything specifically designed for a rolled mat and I love it. Also, because it folds in a rectangular shape, I can use it like a cushion, which I did whenever I had to pack my bag or sit on the floor (for more comfort).I bought my yoga mat in green color, which is quite nice and calming. It comes with the little bag, but so far I haven’t used it.Overall, I am quite happy with this mat. Now at home I am using only this one instead of two standard ones because it is so convenient and easy to fold. I really like it.

Great travel mat with extra perks that make it worthwhile!
Bought this mat for travel purposes. I love that it is extra long, folds up nicely, and the travel bag is awesome too (and the bonus info/pose sheet). Although not on traditional yoga mats, and not preferred by some, I really like the folding lines to help with alignment as some other reviewers have said. The top side is grippy (I have yet to wash it so I’d imagine when I do it’ll be even moreso) enough and the bottom sufficient for carpet, which is what I used it on, and I imagine great with hard floor surfaces too. The fact that the material is non-toxic and eco-friendly is a plus and the mat does not have a weird smell either. Have not experienced hot yoga on this mat, which is what I do daily, so I can’t say much on if it is good for sweating, but my intention is not to use it with hot yoga so I’m not too concerned with that aspect.Overall, great mat for the reasons I need it! It is easily mobile and storage-able and is very functional. Also, the zipper on the travel bag came off the tracks the second time I closed it up, and I emailed Khataland customer service telling them about my dilemma. They got back to me right away and are sending me a new bag free of charge as a one time courtesy! Customer service is huge to me and that made me feel very confident and good about my purchase from this company 🙂

I’m a yoga instructor with latex allergy
I found myself having natural rubber latex allergy as I bought an expensive foldable Manduka EKO superlite travel mat. My palms and soles flared with a lot of blisters after using that mat. I didn’t know about my allergy so I went to an immunologist who asked if I had been practicing yoga and told me that I have latex allergy. So I googled online for a travel mat made with non-latex material and I found this mat. I’ve carried this mat to the gym and to my oversea yoga camps. I like it that it’s very convenient to carry around, even good for keeping in a suitcase. The thing that I don’t like about it is that the material is not too bounceable. Whenever you kneel on the mat, it always leaves an indentation on the surface which does not return to the normal shape even after 10 to 15 minutes. Also, it is quite slippery. If you sweat a lot, this mat may not be your best choice (though you have to understand that most yoga mats which can satisfy your expectations of “durable”, “non-slip”, “light” and “foldable” are made with natural rubber latex. As a yoga instructor having latex allergy, I would not be picky about its slippery nature (which doesn’t affect me much as I engage my core intensively). I’d rather prefer safety and having no allergy at all. Highly recommended for latex allergy individuals.

    Very good travel mat!
This mat is very comfortable to use, easily foldable, light weight, good quality, and has almost no odor. Carrying case is a convenient addition. I highly recommend it. However, I’ve only had it for a month and have a slight concern about the durability as a small part along the fold is starting to fray slightly after fairly limited use. Overall, though, seems like a great choice.

Folds nicely but is skimpy in width and cushioning
I ordered the Khataland YoFoMat for yoga/meditation breaks at work. It is lightweight for storing and sticky for gripping. I like how it folds in half, so I can have a “dirty” (floor) side and a “clean” (body) side that I don’t have to wash and let air-dry every time. It is also nice and long so I can stretch my arms over my head while lying down and keep them on the mat.The two things I do not like about this mat are:1) It is not very wide, so I can’t lay my arms at my side. I have to hug my arms tight against my body to keep them on the mat, which is not relaxing.2) The material is thin, providing almost no cushion from the hard floor. If I am on my hands and knees, it hurts my knees after a few minutes. I was hoping for thicker cushioning for forty dollars.Overall, this mat allows me to take short yoga or meditation breaks at work and folds up between uses. I would not recommend it for use during long sessions or on hard floors – or for wide people.
