THE ORIGINAL ACUPRESSURE/ACUPUNCTURE MAT: BED OF NAILS is designed with 8820 premium nails and uses 42 non-toxic nails on each plate (rather than 25 like most other mats) stimulating more pressure points with less intensity, providing more benefits and less pain.
BED OF NAILS BENEFITS: Our acupuncture mat does not penetrate the skin, but instead supports relaxation, meditation, deep sleep, stress, muscle tension, upper and lower back pain, plantar fasciitis, and more, as the body restores natural vitality, making this a great addition to your beauty tools arsenal.
BLISSFUL ACU-PLEASURE Just lie down on our comfortable accupressure mat for at least 10 minutes and hello euphoria! As pressure points massage your skin, they stimulate oxytocin for calmness and ‘happiness’ endorphins that block pain and ease insomnia or restlessness.
PLANET FRIENDLY: All our products use 100% non-toxic, recyclable HIPS plastic and are secured to the 100% organic cotton removable fabric with a melting process (no environmentally damaging glue) and we plant a tree for each accupressure mat sold. Size 29 x 16 x 1”
THE MULTI-AWARD-WINNING ORIGINAL We turned the ancient sadhu board into a global acupressure mats movement! We offer a generous 60-day return policy on our FSA/HSA approved acupuncture mat products because we take pride in full customer satisfaction. Available in multiple colors (pink, black, green, blue) and size options (mat, strap, round pillow, flat pillow or bundles).

    Fibromyalgia/Migraines
Folks with fibromyalgia and migraines handle additional “pain” for relief in different ways. Speaking for myself, something about this works for me. I get acupuncture a few times per month and this does not take the place of that more focused and deep approach to pain management. But I absolutely love this for between sessions. When the pain is building, I find that laying on my mat must be hitting some great acupressure points because it does bring the pain down several notches. Anyone with chronic pain knows what a huge relief that can be. It doesn’t disappear but minimizes it. I’ll move around to press harder into the areas with more pain and it begins to subside a bit. Sweet relief. When you first get it, you may not believe that moving around on it (or being able to deal with spikes in your back) is possible. I almost gave up after the first use. But tried a few more times and my experience with it changed quickly.I recommend starting out on a soft location like a couch or bed. You may find later that you prefer a hard floor. There are lots of ways to adjust the experience to your own comfort level and needs. I absolutely love it and could easily fall asleep while laying on it now.

Youll never believe until you try
It was on sale almost 1/2 off and I had to try it!1st use I was skeptical that it would do what everyone raves about. I laid on bed (which is softer than hard floor for first time) and fell asleep listening to audiobook) I was asleep by 8 pm when I got off mat I removed it and went back to bed. I woke up with shoulders super relaxed and the muscle in my neck that had been bothering me fir a week was gone. I didnt have the pillow but found a cheap set for 20.00 and getting the pillow. Yes its that good! There are cheaper sets out there do research on the “spikes” some have more or less and some are just roses shapes. It looks like most of them are made by the same company where you just put your branding name on them. So def go cheap u til you know you like it. I will be going to an advanced spikey mat soon I can tell but for now my body really digs this spikey awesome stress relief!CONTRAINDICATIONS: as a bodywork therapist this would not be good for diabetic neuropathy, kidney disease, elderly or thin skin! Do not just gift this to someone theyll hate you unless they asked for it!

    Buying bed of nails #5
I purchased the first one mid 2011, didn’t expect much but was desperate to find something that would alleviate chronic pain in my neck and shoulders. Visits to an OD ruled out spine issues, was all related to muscle strain/fatigue from being hunched over a keyboard to long.Got the first pad and WOW! I was hooked from the first use.It takes a couple of tries to figure out how to angle your body to not have the spikes make you think you are on a real bed of nails for a bit as you lay down on it.My way:I put them on the bed, line it up behind me with my hips and drop backwards. If I need more “umph”, I put them on the floor. I have to move down slower, kind of roll down on to them. I do this next to the sofa, or between two chairs, so I can brace myself with my hand as I roll backwards.A month or two later I purchased another pad to have more length to work with. As other have said, wish they were wider/longer.I also purchased the “Bed of Nails neck cushion”. After a few days of getting used to the pads, knowing when that “ouchie stings feeling” would give way to just—aaaaaahhhhhhhhh—- I was falling asleep on the pads, it is THAT relaxing.I stretch out with some calm music in the background, eye shades on and just zone out. I wake up feeling like I spent an hour with a masseuse. One night my husband was fussing about his Restless leg syndrome making him more crazy than usual. I got both pads, put one under each calf and he was sound asleep with 20 minutes. He did wake up when he rolled over because, yeah it hurt like a son-of-gun to drag his legs across the pad. Now when he uses them, I just keep an eye on him and when I know he is about to doze off, I take the pads out from under his legs.I ended up purchasing two more pads because he was hogging mine!I am back for the fifth because my pup got ahold of one of the pads and the spikes didn’t slow him down a bit, he’d gnawed three off and ruined the corner of the pad before I figured what he was chewing on as he lay quietly at the foot of the bed.I wear a light weight 100% cotton t-shirt and have a light linen tea towel I put over the neck pillow, so all the pads have stayed clean. I hang them out in the sunshine for a few hours every few weeks to air them out and keep them smelling fresh. My husband doesn’t put anything over his pads when he uses them, so he has bare skin contact on the spikes and so far almost six years of use and they are still clean, no odor and grim built up on the.We aren’t replacing them because they wore out or got dirty, we are simply buying more.I even think about stock piling these in case this company stops making them!!

    Perfumey Smell
I love how this makes me feel as far as the nails and foam. It does help. But, there is a very perfumey smell tp it that gives me a migraine. I have multiple chemical sensitivity (mcs). So yeah, I thought it was toxic free, but it isn’t for me. Love that it is made from cotton the only material that my skin is good with. I am trying to air it out. If I cannot get rid of the smell, I may have to return it.

    Simply Amazing
I nervously placed my back on the BED OF NAILS. I easily adapted to the feeling of the BED OF NAILS.I meditated while laying on it for twenty minutes. I could feel the blood pumping in my back. I got up and immediately felt relief from my lower back pain. Back pain and spasms that would prevent my from taking long walks and bending over while doing simple chores. I have tried inversion table, foam roller, large rubber ball and various other back stretching devices. I’m not sure if the bed of nails will work for everyone, but it’s definitely worth a try if you’re suffering from chronic back pain. It’s a safe and effective way to relieve pain and promote relaxation, and it’s much cheaper than surgery or other expensive treatments.

    NOT happy
This mat is way smaller than the other mats that I saw while shopping. This is very uncomfortable and I was not able to “get used to it” like others had claimed. I was not provided with any pain relief or relaxation as this product claims. Plus it is not clearly stated when purchasing that this item is non-refundable. I would have NEVER purchased this if I knew that, since there is always a chance that the product might not meet expectations. I am very disappointed.

It’s just a foam mat with plastic spikes but it is wonderfully relaxing.I bought this and the pillow as a substitute for massage therapy during the pandemic. I tried it for the first time and although it’s a bit weird getting on to a cactus mat, once settled it was incredibly relaxing. The spikes are very spiky (I can’t comfortably stand on them barefoot quite yet) but don’t damage the skin and are very comfortable wearing a t-shirt as recommended to start with. I set a timer for 10mins as I thought I might not manage to stay put but when the timer sounded I didn’t want to move. This is an expensive mat but after reading reviews by others who tried out a pricey mat then bought a cheaper one and were disappointed it is worth it. The mat is well-packaged and comes with a storage bag. It seems well made and the colour (green) is quite restful too.I’m assuming this works in two ways; firstly the spikes are mildly irritating to the skin which increases blood flow and hence heat (plus the heat absorbed in the plastic spikes and foam) which helps relax muscles; secondly, just lying down and breathing slowly for 10 mins is probably good for anyone to relax a bit.
