    So far so good!
No weird smell. It’s absorbs well and no slipping. I love the design. Need to research how to beat clean bur so far so good!

  2. Yogini

    High quality!
Just the right amount of thickness and heft. Feel strong and seems to be well made.

    Great Quality!
The first thing I noticed when this arrived was how heavy the box was. I wasn’t expecting this yoga mat to be so heavy. That’s not a bad thing. We have other mats that are very light and seem to move and slide around a lot. That’s not going to be the case with this. Plus, since it does have some weight to it, it lays very flat to the floor.I got this mat for my wife, who has recently taken up yoga. One of the nice things about this mat are the horizontal lines, which help you line your hands and/or feet. She was also very happy with the length of this mat. Some of her older mats are just a bit on the short side. This is long enough for her to do any of the exercises. It’s also fairly comfortable. However, it’s a little more firm than our other mats. That doesn’t appear to be an issue, but we’ll have to wait and see.The quality of the mat is very high. The cork appears to be very good quality and offers good grip to bare feet. She really likes that part.Overall, very pleased with this. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a really high quality and long lasting yoga mat. If that changes, I’ll update my review accordingly

Nice and grippy, but cork layer is thin
The cork layer of this yoga mat is a very thin veneer. The mat is mostly what looks, feels, and smells like a dense black foam rubber. I assume this material is actually latex rubber, since the description says it’s biodegradable. It would be nice if they gave us more information about what this mat is actually made of, at least out of consideration to people with latex allergies.“100% natural cork yoga mat” could be an accurate description depending on how you parse it, but it would be more accurate to say “Rubber yoga mat with 100% natural cork” or words to that effect.Cork side up, it’s significantly less slippery than my cheap PVC yoga mat, and also looks beautiful. Black rubber side up, it’s even grippier. There’s absolutely no way to slip on the black side. So, this is a great yoga mat, but I wonder how long the thin cork veneer will last. Whatever, even if it wears off completely and leaves just the black rubber, it will still be a functional mat.

    Top Notch Quality
This is a heavy (2-3x typical weight) but incredibly high quality mat. If you have a permanent setup for yoga, this is the mat you want to pull out at your location for your clients…A few things:- The cork top does not create a sop of sweat like cheap foam mats. It remains dry and non-sticky far longer than synthetic mats I’ve used.- The top is somewhat more grippy (in a dry non-sticky way) so you won’t slip as much as some other mats.- The bottom surface is super grippy so this mat is NOT going anywhere. No sliding.- No additional straps. This makes sense since this is really not the type of mat you want to toss over your shoulder or put onto your bike and ride to a class.- reflects body heat – and yet also absorbs it. Stays warm AND cool during use. Natural materials win again!Highly recommended!

Oh man is this mat what I needed
Thanks to the pandemic, I have been doing a lot of online mat Pilates classes. I had been using a rather famous brand yoga mat that did provide good cushioning but was way too “slidey” on moves requiring my feet not to move. Several times I did slip, and at full extension that is a good way to get injured. So I was excited to use this mat, and it did not disappoint. The cork is so much “grippier” your feet stay planted and do not slide, even under high leverage moves. The mat is also thick, giving all the cushion I need for moves that put pressure on my wrists or forearms. I liked that the mat didn’t smell right out of the box and lays flat. I even found the graphics to be well done and handy for positioning cues. Overall, I am very pleased with this mat and the only downside is given how much my wife was eyeing it, I fear I may need to get a second one.

    Wonderful mat
I have been a die-hard Manduka mat fan for over 15 years. However, this mat is just as good if not better than my beloved black mat. It’s very nice. Has no chemical smell, and the grip is great. The one drawback is that it is a tad heavy but no more heavy than any of the Manduka mats. I really like this and highly recommend this as a yogi and instructor of over a decade.

    Durable, and comfortable when kneeling
So far I’ve enjoyed using this cork yoga mat. It’s a durable build that rolls up easily but is thick enough to provide support to your joints when performing knee push-ups, planks, and other exercises that are tough on joints. There was no odor when unpacking the pat, and so far, it repels water and odor well. Usually, if I sweat a lot I will spot dry with a towel, or allow it to fully dry before rolling back up. Overall I would recommend it.
