    Beautiful, insightful, reflective.
I thoroughly enjoyed the flow of this book – the author’s genuine life story is intertwined with other yogis’ adventures. I learned in this book why it’s important to never let your truth be silenced, no matter what. Stephanie’s life lessons are passed on with mindful wisdom, and empowers readers to discover their own contentment. The interviews with the yoga teachers she has come across in her journey are powerful and reflective of the ways that yoga has changed their lives. I’m confident that once you read this book, you’ll gain a new appreciation for yoga, and for the people who have been changed by it. A very thought-provoking read that’s beautifully written.

Moving & meaningful story about yoga and life in general
This is a story of love and life as much as Yoga. The story reads like a roller coaster movie that exemplifies resilience and the courage to defined and create a new course for your life. The author, and the people she has interviewed, illustrate and model the keys to human well-being. This is a book that highlight everything from the scariest to the best in humanity. It will teach you that you are not alone when facing life‘s challenges, and show you that yoga is a key to living a happy life. I’m uplifted and inspired by Spence’s ability to get real and get on with it: to move through this time in her life and emerge with a goal to help others. Because a friend was kind enough to buy this for me, I’m going to try yoga for the first time. This is a must read and a must share.

    a very elegant book
I was sent a copy of this book to review by the author. I will say its one of the most beautifully constructed books I have seen in many years, decades even! the quality of the cover, pages, printing etc is superb.I also want to honestly say that although I have practiced yoga daily since about 1987, I would not in any fashion consider myself a “yogi” by or in any tradition, what-so-ever, other than my own. nor have I attended, other than a few here and there, any “classes” in yoga… maybe 20 to 30 in my lifetime.so, in many regards, though I happily said yes when asked to review the book, I am also not sure I was a good person for the author to ask to review it. my only authority is my own. period.I had hoped it would be more about yoga and less “story” in fact when I was asked to review it, having never seen the blog/vlog etc about the road trip- I didn’t even consider that it might be stories…it IS a really nice reference to the many yoga teachers and centers out there, it covers tons and tons of yoga teachers and their… reasons for getting into or following a yogic path.if your looking to learn ABOUT yoga, this might not be the best choice of a book. if your already into or interested IN yoga, or wonder why ppl are, then this is an insightful look into the reasons why ppl are draw to the discipline as well as how its has helped them in their lives.like any discipline, if given enough devotion, yoga will walk with you and teach you as your in inquiry in your life.yet I have, over the past few yrs, moved to a place where being a “warrior” no longer interests me as a path of expression.i gave the book 3 stars because its in the middle to me. its a beautiful book and im sure a lot of thought and heart went into it, yet to me its not really about yoga.

A Refreshing Approach to a Compilation
Yoga Wisdom must have been a labor of love for author Stephanie Spence who interviewed something like 100 celebrated yoga teachers and pulled a variety of messages out of them. She also cleverly wove her own story into the compilation. It was an unexpected and refreshing approach to witness her talents as an interviewer and a storyteller simultaneously. I leave a copy of this book in the waiting room of my private practice. Clients really enjoy being able to turn to any page and read a short, uplifting excerpt of the book. The cover is beautiful. I recommend getting the hardcopy.

    Yoga inspiration
I did not know what to expect. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to read and share Stephanie’s words. Stephanie Spence shares her journey to yoga and her renewal in life. Her story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. She introduces the reader to a myriad of yoga teachers/practitioners from all walks of life, artfully weaving their ‘why and how’ yoga heals, and brings acceptance, love and support. We all have ups, downs, twists and curves in this life. Yoga helps us to work through these challenges and find the grace we deserve. Yoga is more than asanas. The eight limbs of yoga are life saving and life changing. What you learn about yourself on the mat is your guide off the mat. The contributor section is a reference like no other. I hope you enjoy this good read as much as I have.

An Inspiring Read to Live Your Life of Yoga!
Yoga Wisdom ~ Warrior Tales Inspiring You On and Off Your Mat is a must read and must have book for your home or studio library. Stephanie Spence’s heartwarming honesty throughout provides the reader the opportunity to truly examine their own personal journey and where they want to go. Learning for the first time myself that yoga goes well beyond the mat, I had many ah-ha moments throughout and I’m thrilled to say I’ve been living a life of yoga off they mat without recognizing it as such. From the onset all I wanted to do was curl up in a chair and read the book from start to finish in one sitting. As much as I devoured Yoga Wisdom ~ Warrior Tales Inspiring You On and Off Your Mat with exhilaration I was truly disappointed that the book ended. Bravo to Ms. Spence for her inspiring insights!
