Yoga Sequencing Secrets outlines essential and versatile principles for creating safe, effective yoga practices. Drawing on her extensive experience as a yoga instructor, personal trainer, and professional dancer, Flissy Saucier has created this book to address a wide range of subjects relating to sequencing including general fitness principles, understanding students’ needs, and common mistakes teachers make when planning classes.
This book guides the practitioner through a step-by-step approach to create a practice out of a general idea, transforming that idea into a structured and meaningful class for students. Yoga instructors will find the tools in Yoga Sequencing Secrets useful for curriculum and class planning, particularly those who struggle to keep up with the demands of preparing multiple classes in a wide range of contexts.
Unique to this book are three worksheets designed to identify core postures, encourage thoughtful planning, and evaluate sequences with an objective eye. Also included are over a dozen sample sequences that instructors can use as they are or adapt to their own style of yoga.

Great details and assists in sequencing classes
I bought this book for my Yoga Teacher Training and am so glad I did. It is clear and full of pertinent information as well as being a great read on how and why one sequences a class.

Some great tips
This book is okay, I like a lot of her recommendations, tips, and other advice she had for the person starting out doing sequences. However she should use the English name for the poses instead of the Sanskrit names, hard to remember all those names or at least both names. . I went to her web page to decipher her stick figure poses, could not find it. So I was disappointed. Still over a pretty good book for your library.

Practical and well organized
Flissy has put together a really useful tool for thinking about your class intentions/goals and developing your OWN sequencing instead of following someone else’s prescription. Highly recommend!

Good points to concider when starting out. Contains some nice sequences. However I have troubles understanding the stick figures. Not very thick. The layout looks home made to me.
