No residue
The yoga mat cleaner spray has a nice lavender scent and leaves no residue. I also like that it came with a microfiber towel, making it easy to use. However, it does feel like a glorified water spray with lavender essential oil, so it may not be the best value for the price.

Definately does the job as a yoga mat cleaner, nice scent, no residue.
I got this spray cleaner specifically as a yoga mat cleaner. This is listed as being able to also clean other gym/exercise equipment, but I did not have a need to use it on my exercise bench. I used this to clean my 100% latex mat, as well as one my Cork topped/latex mat, and on a slick âplasticâ folding travel yoga mat.My latex mat is my main mat. In the past, I would wash this every few months by placing it in the shower and spraying it with force, then drying it inside without direct exposure to sunlight. This works, but is time consuming and takes that mat out of use for several days. That approach also means there are long periods where I have a build up of shed skin on my mat. This cleaner comes with its own cleaning cloth. The suggestion use is to spray on the cloth, then wipe your mat. For deep cleaning the suggestion is to spray directly on the mat, then wipe off. I used the spray on mat approach, after the cleaner spray bottle has been pumped several times, the cleaner will come out is a nice plume. There is no immediately detectable scent in the plume. After wiping off sprayed areas that had a lot of shed skin on it, the mat cleaned nicely. I could see the cleaning results both on the mat surface as well as on the surface of the cleaning cloth. If I put my noise up close to the mat after wiping I could detect a faint pleasant smell of the cleaner. I also sprayed this cleaner on my cork top mat and my folding travel mat. The cleaner worked with those mats as well. I could see this cleaner working well on the âvinylâ covering of an exercise bench. I do not sweat or drip sweat on my yoga mat. If that is a condition of use for your mats, I canât comment on how useful this cleaner would be for use situations. Iâm very pleased with this cleaner and will try to clean my mat once or twice a week in place of my old approach. I wish I could buy bulk refills for the spray that would be priced more cheaply.

Good cleaner with a light scent
Up front, this works with no negatives to note.I am always worried about a slippery mat when i do more difficult stretches like a wheel. The cleaner did not leave any slippery residue.I was worried about an overpowering scent distracting me. No such scent. Instead, it is light and pleasant.Now that worries are resolved, i can address other positives. Itâs easy to use. I sprayed directly on the mat and wiped down. Left it, and I did my things for a few hours. Came back, it was dried.It comes with a towel to use (it says spray towel then wipe) and itâs nice to have a dedicated cloth for it.It can be used on benches or other equipment. Used it on my bench, and that was nice too.Overall happy

Great scent
The lavender scent is quite fitting as this is specially used for yoga mats. It is a relaxing scent, and I do like how the sprayer actually provides a good enough clean for my mat. It sprays nicely, and I love the natural use of ingredients as I really do not like to use chemicals all around. The extra towel that was included is also nice, but it does seem to shed a bit and just feels like it couldâve been better quality. Overall, its still a cute set.

This yoga mat cleaner is nice. It does a great job of cleaning the yoga mat without leaving any residue behind. I appreciate the little washcloth that is included with the wash. The instructions say to spray a few sprays on the cloth and wipe on the mat. For a deeper clean you can spray directly on the mat and wipe with the cloth. My yoga mat was…pretty dirty, lol. Honestly, I’ve only ever used a refreshing spray on it, not a cleaner and my animals like to lay on it while I’m standing on it. I was surprised how clean this spray got my yoga mat. The spray was gentle enough not to damage my mat but strong enough to actually leave it looking clean. The scent is very nice. It’s not straight Lavender essential oil but it’s still a pleasant floral scent. Great product that does a good job.

Mat cleaner spray
Every day I go for outdoor exercise in a parking lot so mat is essential part of my life. Due to rain and dirty area; the mat gets dirty too. I got this spray yo clean the mat quickly but not much helpful. I was expecting the size of the bottle should be bit big and its not great in smell.It easy to use and no leakage but needs lots of improvement.

No advice on how much to use per square inch
I tested this on my foam roller, and I think it did a pretty good job.The surface feels nicer than it did before, and there’s a light (barely detectable), pleasant scent that’s left behind.The product doesn’t tell you how much to use per square inch of yoga mat.A few squirts into the cloth isn’t going to take you very far.The advice to “spray liberally” and let it stand as an alternative to spraying onto and wiping with the cloth would take up even more of the solution, and it’s a tiny bottle.So I think I’m going to confine my use of this to my foam roller.As for my yoga mats, I’ll follow REI’s advice: “Lay your mat out on a flat surface. Mix warm water and a few drops of dish soap in a bowl. (Be careful not to add too much soap.) Dip the rag into the soapy water, then clean the mat from top to bottom, prioritizing dirty spots, using a circular motion.”For me, I prefer to clean my yoga mat in a bath tub.
