“Yoga for Men – A Beginners Guide To Core Strength, Flexibility and Better Health”

is written specifically for men who have had little or no experience with yoga.

Why create a yoga book just for men?

Many men think yoga is only about easy flowing movements and spiritual chanting. Some may see it as something that “real men” don’t do as it is a girly thing. However yoga was “invented” by men thousands of years ago. It’s only in recent decades that it has become synonymous with women but the balance is shifting again. Now it is not uncommon to see huge footballers in a yoga class doing spine twists and lunges.

The fact is that men and women are built differently (no surprises there) so their main physical concerns are often different. This book shows how yoga can address all of these concerns and much, much more.

It includes:

A brief summary of the styles of yoga and tips on finding the style that best suits you

Easy to follow explanations of the main yoga principles

Advice on how yoga can benefit you both physically and mentally

Practical tips for getting started and creating your own routines

Photos and step by step descriptions of every pose

A run-down on the basic poses and sequences

Separate chapters featuring ways to improve balance, get firmer abs and legs and decrease back pain, increase hip flexibility and sexual performance, release tension, reduce high blood pressure and cholesterol, improve mental focus and clarity and also to chill out and learn to relax properly.

Once you read this book and start practicing yoga regularly you will soon see what a difference it can make in your life and you’ll wonder why you hadn’t begun earlier. So “be a man” and give it a go. Buy this book and get started today.

    Perfect!
Now this is what I call a Yoga book! Love this one very much because not only that it’s informative… there are actual illustrations or pictures of poses. This is important because this helps beginners know if what they’re doing is the right Yoga pose or not. The illustrations are detailed and simple to understand so you can actually start doing Yoga right away. We should all take care of our body regardless of gender. Doing Yoga plus a healthy lifestyle will really help you achieve physical and mental “peace” and this book will be your partner

    Insightful
This book has a lot of good information, and it’s well written. It’s not super long but since it’s a beginners book I would say it fits the bill. It has detailed descriptions for poses and some advice for moving into more advanced yoga as you progress. I know yoga is good for building strength and it’s an excellent way to cross train for those in other sports.

    Great intro and beginner’s guide
Excellent supplement to taking some classes. Shows many of the common poses and organizes them by their benefits. I liked the basic routine included. I’ve been able to slowly add poses to that to address my particular needs and make it more challenging. It’s still essential to find a teacher or go to some classes as the subtle alignment and breathing parts of the practice are very difficult to convey in print. Overall excellent beginner’s guide for men.

    Three Stars
Sadly the photo are very low resolution.

    Great book, must read
I love it, not only had step by step pictures but also had a detail description on the possible benefits for each position, I wish all books on exercises would be written like that instead of infomercial style.

  6. JOHNNY L ROSAS

    Great read!
This book is simple to understand if your new to yoga, and has lots of pics of yoga poses with step by step instructions on how to do them correctly! It’s very informative!

  7. N Maness

    Nothing new
This book did not contain anything specific to the differences in the male anatomy (hips, knees, etc.) that impacts what the poses may look like in comparison to women.

  8. Easel Roberts

It’s simply a description of poses
I was hoping/expecting a discussion on Why Yoga was good for Men, a little philosophy and/or Routines for specific issues. Nope, not at all. It is simply a rookies guide describing various poses OR, said differently, what you would learn if you took ANY yoga class anywhere. There was no attempt to help the reader build a routine other than simply choosing a set of poses that might appeal to you. I was not impressed.

  9. Guillaume St-Denis

Fast shipping, Good book for beginner, explains the basic positions and what really is yoga.

  10. A D M L DELLER

This product helped me with understanding yoga and building my confidence in taking up yoga. I know attend yoga class in the local sports centre and this book was a great starting point for a guy who was unsure about starting yoga.

was not what i was expecting and didnt really help as a great introductory guide to yoga

I dont often review books, but this one, although cheap, is, in my opinion, not worth buying. It has a very basic written description of some of the well known basic poses. No pictures, no deeper insights, and it is a very short book indeed. Five remarkably short chapters. I read it in less than 10 minutes. Save your money, Buy something else.

Terrible book, pictures look like photocopies and the overall feel of the book is like this was made in a garage.Disappointing, wish I could return.
