Sample Pose: The Double Gate
All ages / Benefits: Energizing Instructions:
1. Start in Candle. Partner A and Partner B face the same direction in a parallel line about twelve inches apart. Partner A starts with her left knee and leg on the interior side of the pose and Partner B’s right knee is on the inside of the pose.
2. Partner A reaches her leg to the left, extending it toward the middle of her mat and toward Partner B. Partner B reaches her leg to the right, toward the middle of the mat and toward partner A.
3. Partner A reaches her right arm up and over her right ear to reach toward Partner B’s left extended arm, which is reaching up and over her left ear. This makes an arch or rainbow shape.
4. Both partners press their palms together or hold hands at the top of the arch take a few deep breaths.
5. For added effect, Partner A and Partner B can also hold hands with the bottom hand.
Tip:
Use your imagination to open and shut the gate. Simply release the top hand and lift more upright with the torso when you open the gate. To shut the gate, stretch back toward one another and press your palms together. This adds a creative element to the pose while making it more active.

Fantastic!
Iâm in my 3rd season of teaching family/kids yoga. This book was great for refueling my ideas for games and activities to keep students of all ages engaged! The chapters on poses are basic for any beginners as well and I think teachers could also benefit by incorporating many of the concepts into any classroom! You donât always know what youâre getting when ordering a book without seeing it and Iâm happy to say this was a very pleasant surprise!

Itâs a ok book
I think itâs a good book if you havenât got any kids yoga book before. However, I got some kids yoga books already. The most like thing of the book which its introduced some partner poses. The dislike thing is the book donât have many yoga themesâ suggestion… Itâs my personal feedback.
