SENSATIONAL FOR ALL ESPECIALLY OVER 50
THIS PROGRAM IS OUTSTANDING FOR ANYONE WANTING TO CONDITION, STRENGTHEN, AND STRETCH MUSCLES; OUT OF SHAPE MUSCLES THAT LEAD TO JOINT PROBLEMS LIKE BACK PAINS.MY WIFE AND I ARE IN OUR MID-SIXTIES, AND WE ARE VERY ACTIVE, BUT NOT SO MUCH IN THE ARIZONA SUMMERS. THIS PROGARM ALLOWS US TO MAINTAIN CONDITIONING, AND EVEN STRENGTHEN DURING THE DOWN SUMMER MONTHS. YOU CAN GO AT THE PACE THAT IS COMFORTABLE FOR YOU. IT IS NOT A COMPETITON, AND IT WORKS. NAGGING BACK, SHOULDER, AND NECK PAINS ARE GONE. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS ADVERTISED FOR BEGINNERS, WHICH IT IS, IT ALSO WORKS FOR THOSE THAT ARE NOT BEGINNERS BY ALLOWING YOU TO PUSH HARDER INTO THE EXERCISES. WE SET THIRTY MINUTES A DAY ASIDE TO WORK OUT, AND IT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD TO OUR OVERALL CONDTIONING. WE ALSO PURCHASED HIS OTHER DISCS… YOGA BOOST, AND BETTER BACK YOGA. WORTH THE MONEY, WORTH THE TIME. COULDN’T BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULTS.

This program helped me survive the pandemic.
In March 2020, my local Rec Center closed for pandemic lockdown. At that time I was enrolled in a yoga class meeting three times per week. I was also doing treadmill every day and exercise machines for my arm and leg muscles. I was intent on keeping up with my yoga practice and otherwise keeping my body in good shape. At 80 years old, I realized I would lose muscle mass rapidly, so I had to do something to keep that from happening. I had developed reasonably good eating habits and enjoyed having weight appropriate for my bone structure. I owned a treadmill and some gym equipment, so I could rely on that. For yoga, I returned to a collection of yoga DVDs I had accumulated in prior years. But I found that the instructors in these CDs paid little attention to the fundamentals of each yoga posture, as my instructor at the Rec Center had done. Instead, the practice moved quickly from one posture to the other without explaining how the body should be placed, or which muscles should be engaged. I became concerned that I might injure myself. Realizing my dilemma, my husband started looking for alternative programs without my knowledge, and one day presented me with the Yoga Fix program. Upon seeing the muscled-up young man on the cover, I assumed the yoga would be too demanding for me. Fortunately, I overcame my preconceptions and tried it our. I loved it from day one. And loved it even more for all five days of the program. The instructor, Dean, demonstrates each posture, telling the student exactly how to place their body, and exactly which muscles to use. The act of tensing the correct muscle to achieve the posture and holding it for a period is actually isometric exercise, and has the effect of strengthening and stretching the muscles. I performed the yoga practice an average of six times per week for three years and counting. As a result, my muscles mass has actually improved, as has my posture. Thank you Dean!

The BEST Beginner Program by Man Flow Yoga
I have tried quite a few of the Man Flow Yoga programs and they have been pretty difficult, but not impossible. The beginner programs have even been a little more difficult than I anticipated. I understand that this yoga is different from the traditional yoga that most are used to, but that’s my feedback to programs prior. This program, on the other hand, has been everything I hoped it would be. It addressed the problems we create by sitting all day at work for those of us who work at a desk. My favorite thing about these workouts is the technique coaching that Dean gives. He really does a great job at teaching the alignment of poses and has you use a block to ensure alignment. My second favorite thing is the unconventional exercises that Dean has you do that many yoga programs don’t incorporate. One was being in Child’s Pose but lifting one arm up at a time and holding it there to really strengthen the shoulders and back. The rest you’ll have to find out by doing the program. One thing to note is that these workouts focus heavily on strengthening your hips and core. I had never done hip-specific exercises the way I have with this program. Not that this is a bad thing, but I enjoy doing beneficial exercises for my hips that I probably wouldn’t have done prior to this. Though this workout is marketed to beginners, Dean does show how to make some postures more difficult for those with more experience. My only complaint with the program is doing five workouts per week. This is not because I can’t make time for them, because the 20 minutes is PERFECT, but simply because of my soreness between days. I feel like, for me, I carry the previous day’s soreness into the next workout, and I feel like it would be better to take a day in between or do a 2 on 1 off kind of schedule. Others may not have this problem, and I’m sure as I get used to it it’ll subside. All in all, this program is the best beginner’s workout ManFlowYoga offers, and I highly recommend it to newcomers.- Josh
