Cute book for all yoga lovers!
Our 20 month old granddaughter loves Baby Yoga! Along with her mother she imitates the movements in the book. As her grandmother who does yoga twice a week, I love that our little granddaughter is enjoying all the benefits that yoga provides to both young and old.

Perfect gift for yoga crazy parents.
We really like this book and although our daughter is only 9 1/2 months, I read this to her and do the poses in the pictures – she finds it hilarious. Beautiful illustrations and I adore that this book starts with being aware of the body, and then doesn’t overdo it with the amount of poses in there – it really seems perfect for small children to be introduced to yoga.I plan to use it more regularly with our daughter in the future since she is a very active baby and definitively could benefit from a calming ritual once she is old enough to understand it.But the real value in the book is as a gift. It seems everyone I know is doing yoga and so I keep giving this book as a gift – for a birthday, baby shower, etc and it is always a big hit.Highly recommend.

My 2.5 y.o. LOVES this book and doing the various positions. Heâs especially adorable when he tries to keep his eyes closed and when he does the bow!

Good activity to do with little kids
This book was surprisingly good. It has various diverse cartoon children, each doing a yoga pose on each page. So, one page, one yoga pose. Opposite pages are often to where when you have the book open, you see both poses on both pages and they are a nice pair to transition back and forth between. For example, cow and cat are opposite, so I can hold the book up to my kids and show the poses and they can go back and forth between those. From start to finish, the book makes a short yoga routine. The recommended age is preschool and up. That’s accurate. While this is a board book, it’s actually better for older kids. (Board books are good for 2 and under, where the child can’t take care of the book or may not be coordinated enough to handle thin paper pages without ripping them.) This is more for kids who have the focus to go through a book and listen to a short story. That way, they can go through the short yoga routine and have the focus to do that. I guess that from being a board book, it’s easier to handle while doing something sporty and not worry about tearing up. And definitely the pages stay open and easy to see if I set it down. This was a pretty fun book, but actually better for older kids. I have kids ages baby, 2, 4, and 6. My 6 year old did the poses in this, and it was interactive with me reading it to him, and him doing it. He likely would see the book as babyish, if it hadn’t been in the context of it being a book for his baby sister. The 4 year old kind of wasn’t really doing it, but I think it may have been his mood, and that a 4 year old might have the attention span and focus to do the poses. The 2 year old just had no attention span and was not going to do yoga. I think she would do it if I did the poses, and she copied me, but she doesn’t have the attention span to do it from a book, even with me reading it to her. I would say preschool and very young elementary school is a good age for this, and the way that you would use it with kids is you read it to them and do the poses together and it be more of an activity than a story, and not for the child to practice reading.Overall, it’s a good book for getting little kids moving and having an activity to do with them. I was pleasantly surprised and the 6 year old seemed to be at the right level of focus and coordination for it to be a fun activity.

Only one pose per page, good introduction to yoga, 3 year old likes it
I have searched for different yoga books for toddlers. This one is great and simple enough for him. He loves to look at it and take part and have me do it with him. I have been doing very quick easy yoga for chronic illness for almost a year now in our home and he likes to get beside me and stretch too but this gives him a way to make it more fun. It is a board book and very short of course but a great introduction to the concept, don’t pass on it thinking its just for smaller babies. I would’ve liked more poses, maybe 2 per page instead of one, but it’s better than nothing. The illustrations are unique and get his attention. He loves to show me how he can do the stretches. I recommend this book and it would make a great gift.

delightful
This is so precious. The illustrations are surprisingly easy for my toddler to follow. It’s really simple, the little children pose, it’s almost story-like, and then you move on to the next pose. It doesn’t include instructions like, “get on all fours like a cat,” instead it only says “exhale. Curl like a cat” with a picture of a child and a kitty in the cat pose. The poses aren’t too complicated so the single illustration is substantial for my toddler and his older preschool age brother. It easily stays open to the page you’re on if my kid sets it down on the floor to mimic the illustrations, so there’s no stress of losing your spot. Overall this is a simple, adorable, basic yoga book that my kids love.

cute simple book
This would be fun to use with one toddler or more likely a preschool class to learn some very basic yoga moves. Just one sentence or line on each page, each page with a different move. Does not use sanskrit names of moves, but you can add those in if you like. Overall cute and nice, although not somehow AMAZING. Diverse looking children so that is a nice plus.
