A must read for yoga teachers and for those with a curiosity of Yin Yoga
I met Sagel during my first two hour yoga teacher training program. I knew from the get- go that she was a shining star and would one day be a leader in the yoga world. I was right! I was not at all surprised when I learned that Sagel had written a book. I knew I had to get my hands on this book! Yin Yoga & Meditation is a culmination of many years of intense study with master teachers, practical teaching experience in all settings and with all types of people, and her personal journey of using the practice of Yin yoga to heal herself. Now Sagel has shared this beautiful practice of Yin yoga to all of us living in a Yang- centric society. As a yoga teacher, Yin Yoga & Meditation will be an invaluable resource for me. I love the flow of the book as it is practical and philosophical offering both novice and seasoned practitioners a text to return to again and again. I look forward to using this resource when planning my classes! I imagine Sagelâs book will soon be on every teacher training programâs required text list!

Sagel absolutely hits it out of the park with this book…if hitting it out of the park can be related to the practice of Yin yoga!!! The respect that she shows in the roots of Yin and the teachings of Taoism, Buddhism and Qigong is very much appreciated. These teachings go back thousands of year, and while not presented in depth, which she acknowledges, they do form the foundations of her teachings. Beyond that the book gives great detail of various Yin Asanas that practitioners and teachers can combine with an amazing collection of mediations and thought provoking explorations. I deeply recommend this book to anyone interested in the practices if Yin yoga and meditation. Thank you for sharing your gift of Yin and meditation with the world!
