Yoga makes children happy, healthy and strong! But if you are a clumsy yak, with wobbly hooves, who has never done yoga before, it can be tricky. Join Yak in her first Happy Panda class and see how she discovers the power and playfulness of yoga.
Eight yoga poses and their benefits are clearly explained and illustrated at the back of the book so young children can easily do them at home or in the classroom.
Review
This is a gorgeous book introducing yoga to young children. A really positive and inclusive message that yoga is for everyone with some wonderful characters and beautiful illustrations. Snezana also includes some lovely ideas for families to practice at home. Totally recommend this book for families.

Empowering Yoga Picture Book
The more yoga you do, the more stretchy you will become.” YESSSSSSS! I’m constantly preaching this to people, OF ALL AGES.A couple of things you need to know about me before we get to this review:1) I’ve been a yogi since I was 14.2) I’m a Youth Services Librarian, and picture books are a part of my daily life.3) In ALL of my story times and programs, I have the kids practice one or two yoga poses EVERY time. So, this book is RIGHT up my alley :)From page one, I enjoyed this picture book. Watching Yak go from uncertainty and negative thoughts to empowering and confident ones is exactly what yoga feels like for any new beginner. Heck, I still have those thoughts every now and again when I’m faced with a challenging pose! I really like how the illustrations show the animals at the beginning of class sitting in the positions most comfortable for them. It’s so important when starting a yoga practice–especially for kids!–to know yoga should never hurt. And it’s these little things in the dialogue, and illustrations, that give a strong nod to yoga. Also, the pictures, and instructor, explain how yoga is a constant practice, show it doesn’t have to be perfect; it’s a learning process. And my favorite parts are the visual images the little yogis picture in their minds while mimicing poses. Super cute and realistic! This is the first in the series, and I’m looking forward to more of Happy Panda.*Thanks to love books tours and the publisher for a gifted copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

An adorable read
Yaks Can Do Yoga! is an adorable children’s book with lovely illustrations. It’s a story about trying new things (in this case, yoga) and finding friendship along the way.Yak is at her first Happy Panda Yoga Class, but she doesn’t feel like she’s ready (or steady) for yoga. As she tries new poses, Yak wobbles a bit, but soon she discovers that yaks can do yoga. How fun! This is a sweet, delightful read. Children will love Yak and her new friends from yoga. They’re a great bunch of characters and will appeal to kids.A wonderful book that children will love and want to read again and again.5 stars!

Cute children’s book!
This was such a cute story! I loved how it explains yoga poses to children. There isn’t anything too complicated. I also enjoyed the friendship that developed in the end. It had very realistic situations. I don’t want too much away. You are just going to have to read it to your kids! I highly recommend it! It would be an amazing story to discuss with your young child.

Adorable
4.5âï¸First off, the cover is so cute. And the title of already makes it interesting. Secondly, the story line is easy to follow and great examples in how to do yoga. The steps are easy to follow and I find it interesting. It is also very colorful and fun. One issue is that it is an electronic version and I couldnât really get the full benefit of a picture book out of it. Definitely recommend purchasing it hardcover vs ebook.

What an absolutely brilliant story 𥰠I read it to my 5 yr old son last night and I just loved it!!! It was such a great introduction to kids yoga as well as being a great story about persevering and believing in yourself . My son loved it too, we both had a great time reading it and talking about the pictures. So perfect for my son as he is so under confident in all forms of sports / exercise xxxx

Lovely book! Both kids enjoyed it (8yrs and 5yrs old), my 5yr old son especially loved reading about the animals and their magical peaceful places, and decided on his own magical place to imagine when he closes his eyes (a funfair!). I think this book is a great introduction to yoga for kids.
