    Holds His Attention!
I’m a grandfather (Opa) who is reading books to his 2 1/2 year old grandson on Facetime. He is in Germany. Because he is on the young side for these, I wasn’t sure if they would work for him. But I had gotten him a dragon plush toy for Christmas so I thought it might be worth a try. It was.The first time through he sat quietly and was very intent while they did the exercises. The next time we read it I got up to do them (had to stand back from the camera so he could see) and he followed my lead!I don’t really know how much of the SEL stuff he is getting, but he is at preschool so I presume he will start making connections fairly shortly, if he is not already.I would highly recommend that you at least give this book a try. I have purchased four of the my dragon books and I will do reviews on the others as I have more feedback from my grandson. At this point I’m focusing on the yoga book because he likes the action. I’m going to try the Mindful Dragon next. He really likes the outdoors and gardens so I think he will be able to relate to that part of using his senses.I would like to mention the negative reviews on here. There were complaints about poor printing and even that there was a page in the middle of the book requesting a review. The book I received had none of these problems. The paper quality and printing was good and no advertising request. In fact, the binding is good enough for me to open it almost flat to hold it up to the camera. My experience with each of the dragon books I’ve bought (as I said earlier, four so far) is that they have all been very good quality.

This book helped our little dragon to calm down.n
This is book was a freat addition to our sons library. He loves that Diggery Doo learned to not be angry and learned yoga also.

    Love the Dragon Series
As I work through my own mindfulness journey for mental health and stretching for physical I loved having this for my kids to learn along.

My first grader says it’s fun to read
We have several of the dragon books. Our therapist recommended some of them for my daughter who has adhd. We got this one for her birthday and she likes it. She tries to do the poses as we read. Some of the other reviews said they had issues with printing and paper quality, but our copy seems fine. It’s the Same quality as the other books we have from this series.

    Perfect, love the drawings
This book is a sweet addition to any child’s learning. We all have a dragon, it’s great to know we have a practice.

    Yoga what?
Thought this would be a cute cartoonish book with yoga poses that children would want to emulate. The colors are drab, and while they do have yoga poses, the storyline is not light or befitting what I was looking for

    Cute story but flimsy construction
The story is GREAT, but I wish the book itself was made better. The thin cover and thin pages don’t hold up very well to regular use.

    Super!
Love this little dragon Diggory Doo. He makes yoga so appealing to my sometimes fire-breathing 1st grader. Well done, again!

Very well written stories for your children, my son loves them

I bought this book with the hope of introducing my 4 year old to yoga and some its basic yoga poses. I thought the idea of wrapping this introduction into a story would be good. Disappointed with the book on several fronts.1. The text is contrived – some words are forced into the sentence to get lines to rhyme. Take a look at this example – “You can teach your dragons tricks / but one thing you must require – / You have to train your dragon not / to set your house on fire.” One thing you must require???2. Kids learn language through books and if we are reading books that are grammatically wrong, how are we helping them learn?3. There is no logical flow at all to the story. The dragon is in bed sick and the boy interprets that to be fear and decides to teach him a yoga pose to deal with that. Really?Don’t buy it. There must be better books out there to talk to kids about yoga.
