    Helpful Illustrations
The book covered a variety of poses that were intended to increase flexibility or maintain strength. Each pose had a visual illustration, instructions, the muscles targeted, and precautions to take.Bell discussed the benefits of chair yoga for seniors, supplemental equipment used and suggested consulting a health care expert before beginning. I appreciated the way the poses were organized. They were sorted first for level of difficulty – beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Then, within those sections, organized into poses for warming up, posture, weight loss, joint mobility, and heart health.Near the end, Bell talked about nutrition and hydration and provided charts to track progress on the three 28-day programs suggested.

This is a comprehensive and accessible resource for anyone looking to improve their health and well-being through less vigorous exercise. I have studied all the exercises, and they don’t look overly challenging. I’m late sixties and have always been active until the dreaded Covid 19 when everything went to pot, including my waistline.I’m excited about this guide because of its clarity and simplicity. It has over 90 detailed exercises categorized into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, and the illustrations and step by step instructions make it look easy peesy. The inclusion of nutritional guidance for joint health and weight loss, along with safety precautions and mindfulness practices, adds to the value of the content. The book also provides tracking charts and balanced plate food recommendations. I like to track progress even when I am competing against myself so I’m happy with that inclusion. I have committed to the 28 day challenge and I have recorded my weight and measurements so I may just do a follow up review 😊
