TAKE THE PLUNGE WITH THE WELLNESS TOOL THAT STARTED IT ALL: The ShaktiMat is a powerful wellness tool that releases inner tension in minutes. We didn’t invent acupressure, we just perfected it. Common uses are for aches and stress relief, muscle tension, soothing headaches and deeper sleep.
20 MINUTES IS ALL IT TAKES: In the beginning, it feels like lying on spikes, but ours are the sharpest so you get to the point fast. Similar to cold plunge, it doesn’t work without some discomfort. It only takes a few minutes to relax completely.
SUPERIOR SPIKES: Every spike is individually attached using a special clipping technique that’s safer for you and the person who made it. Built to withstand the pressure of daily Shakti sessions, year-on-year.
CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL OF PRESSURE: Accupressure is personal, and Shakti spikes are the sharpest around; Original is our most popular place to start; the perfect balance of initial discomfort and deep release.
QUALITY MATERIALS: Handmade in India using certified cotton and dyes that meet the leading processing standard for organic fibers and social criteria. Backed by fair wage employment and charity donations.

From Skeptic to Believer
I was very skeptical and also very desperate. I had been suffering from Muscle Spasticity (Thats technical term for tightness and rigidity, not spasm for over 6 months and recently my Sciatic nerve also flared up. I have tried 3 different medications, percussion massage, creams and rubs, supplements, yoga stretching and an inversion table. most only helped a little temporarily, with the exception of the inversion table; which did a ton for my Sciatica by the way, but not so much for the spasticity. My success with the inversion table encouraged me to continue to seek non traditional treatments. So I bought the ShaktiMat Classic and pillow in green. So I went full bore without the shirt right away, first 2 1/2 minutes were very uncomfortable like they said but pushing through at about 3 minutes the pain went away to a mild something’s going on but not sure what uncomfortableness, I started at 5 minutes and have already worked up to 20, I would say after the first couple sessions to me there is no difference between minute 5 and minute 20. Success! after just the first 2 sessions my muscles which have been hard as a rock for like 6 months loosened up tremendously, Im actually still in disbelief it worked so well and fast. It had been so long I forgot what it was like to actually feel loose and comfortable. I would add the first couple sessions were more energizing but after that they were more relaxing, in fact fell asleep in my last session and accidentally went over 20 minutes to 23, so you may want to set an audible alarm. They are sharp so keep it away from the kids and dogs. Highly recommend and definitely worth a shot.

Better Than Medicine
The endorphins released from laying on this mat provides instant stress and anxiety relief better than any type of medication Iâve tried in the past. It hurts at first but after 1-2 minutes it starts to feel good. Also Kitty Cat approved!

This actually relaxes me…wasn’t expecting that
When I ordered my Shakti mat, I really wasn’t expecting much. I saw a sponsored ad for it, and I read all the “this hurts but if you stick through it, it’ll be worth it” comments and I thought, sure why not, I’ll try it. I work an office job and am battling some health things, so my tension is through the roof. I will try anything to help with that. So…bed of nails? Sure why not.Totally glad I did.I’m using the original shakti mat (not the “light” one nor the “advanced”). I use it on the floor and I don’t use a fabric barrier. The first time I used it, laying down on it was a bit of a shock (also, I watched a video of how to lay on it and how to get back up…I highly recommend doing that). It was very, very sharp and while it was uncomfortable, I wouldn’t say it was painful. Now, I have a pretty high threshold for pain so I can see where this wouldn’t be for everyone, but for me, it was quite tolerable. After about 15 seconds, the sharpness went away and ultimately I ended up very relaxed.I spend usually 15-20 minutes on the mat. Usually I listen to music, sometimes I’ll do a guided meditation. But no matter what I do, I find that after that time has elapsed, I feel much less frantic, and much more relaxed after having laid down on the shakti mat. Now whether that’s due to being on 6,000 pins, or whether it’s due to 15-20 minutes of quiet peace, I can’t say for sure. But I can say that meditation on its own has never had such an effect. So for me, the combination is working.I highly recommend trying this, if you’re like me and you carry tension around like it’s your job.Side note: I bought the pillow too but it doesn’t work for me. I’m very short (5’0) so the pillow is too high for me to rest comfortably. I realized, though, that because I’m short, I can put a normal pillow under the end of the shakti mat and I still get full coverage from my lower back all the way up my neck to my head (I prefer it to stop at the top of my neck, so this is actually perfect).

Cheaper than a Chiropractor or Massages!
I tell everyone about this mat. It’s changed my life. It initially feels a little like getting tattooed. It’s a little uncomfortable for the first few minutes, but after that it feels amazing. My sleep has improved and I could physically feel the tension in my back release. I do this every night for 15 minutes before bed. Best money I’ve spent in a while.

Amazing relief!
This mat has saved me so many times. I am famous for straining my back and hips. Twenty minutes on the mat and I feel like Iâve had a massage.

Surprisingly awesome
This is not for everyone. It has definitely taken some getting used to. I do not use this thing everyday. Not by a longshot. Maybe I would see even greater benefits if I did. However, this has been an incredible tool for stress relief. I have used this when I was feeling so much stress that I could barely breathe. Laying down on this helped me to be able to relax enough to take full breaths again.

Great product
I originally ordered a Shakti knock off, it was terrible. The Shakti mat is a quality product. I even take it on trips with me.

Temporary back relief and meditation
I was skeptical about this product until my acupuncturist recommended it. When you open the box, itâs a bit daunting to look at. I used it for two sessions wearing a T-shirt and then graduated to not using a shirt. The first 5 to 10 minutes can be intense, however, your body adjusts and you relax into the mat. The key is to breathe and feel the sensation until your body relaxes. Iâve never been able to meditate before until I bought this mat. Its recommended use is for a minimum of 20 minutes. After I get up, the muscles in my back feel relaxed and Iâve learned to breathe and allow myself to enter a meditative state. This mat doesnât solve my chronic tight muscles, though, it does provide temporary relief and now Iâm able to meditate and have a clear head. Donât be shocked to look in the mirror and see hundreds of red indentations in your back. That will go away within a few hours. Thereâs also videos about this product you can watch on YouTube.

I bought this mat after doing a lot of research. After my husband’s surgery he had a side effect to anesthesia that led to insomnia for a very long time. He’s a hardcore pain bearing person so straight away I went for level 2 and this mat helped him relax and go into a sleeping mode. It didn’t “cure” his insomnia (yet) but tremendously helps with getting into a relaxation state. Now I am trying my pain bearing level so will see after 3 weeks 🙂

Have just returned this item as it was much too painful and cruel to even think of lying on it!
