TAKE THE PLUNGE WITH THE WELLNESS TOOL THAT STARTED IT ALL: The Shakti Mat is a powerful wellness tool that releases inner tension in minutes. We didn’t invent acupressure, we just perfected it. Common uses are for aches and stress relief, muscle tension, soothing headaches and deeper sleep.
20 MINUTES IS ALL IT TAKES: In the beginning, it feels like lying on spikes, but ours are the sharpest so you get to the point fast. Similar to cold plunge, it doesn’t work without some discomfort. It only takes a few minutes to relax completely.
SUPERIOR SPIKES: Every spike is individually attached using a special clipping technique that’s safer for you and the person who made it. Built to withstand the pressure of daily Shakti sessions, year-on-year.
CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL OF PRESSURE: Accupressure is personal, and Shakti spikes are the sharpest around; Original is our most popular place to start; the perfect balance of initial discomfort and deep release.
QUALITY MATERIALS: Handmade in India using certified cotton and dyes that meet the leading processing standard for organic fibers and social criteria. Backed by fair wage employment and charity donations.

Get it. You won’t be sorry!
I am addicted to this. I bought the beginning level (yellow) and the pillow. The initial pain was minimal and went away after a minute or two. I wear a t-shirt. After 10 minutes I find I need to adjust my position because it has release so much tension and stiffness that I can stretch out even more. After 20 minutes I am so relaxed that I don’t want to get up. It has reduced hip, leg, and back pain. I noticed improvement after one use. I look forward to using it everyday. I believe I walk straighter. I recommend this to everyone. .

    Relaxing
It takes a few times to get used to, but once you can make it on for a few minutes. It’s very relaxing.

    Takes some getting used to…
I started with a shirt on… now I can go shirtless, but it takes a lot of practice. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different. My wife could do it no problem with a paper thin (sleeping shirt) shirt from the getgo. It’s great on the feet if you are sitting and apply pressure to the mat. Also good for the back of the neck if you roll it up. I’m glad I got this one and not the normal one as I probably wouldn’t have been able to take it. Just remember we’re each built differently and what works for someone may not work for another.

    Life enhancing
Laying on this mat for 20+ minutes in the morning and before bed releases muscles that haven’t relaxed in 10 years. I lay on my back and sit on it; I’ve stood on it (can’t do it for more than a few minutes); I’ve laid on my stomach; and given both hips and thighs some love, too. I find this mat to be magical. If it’s placebo, I don’t care and don’t want to know. I love feeling better.

    Great mat
The price borders ridiculous, but this was a gift and my daughter has had no complaints. Id shop for a better deal on an authentic item.

    Uncomfortable
I like acupuncture and dry needling and they help me tremendously for pain relief.I had a problem with this.

The more I used it the worse it felt
Bought the yellow beginner model.Day 1: Discomfort when first laying down turned to prickles after a few moments, then faded to a warm feeling. I fell asleep. Timer went off at 10 minutes and woke me up. Very optimisticDay 2: Mild pain when I laid on it. Turned to tingles as before but never got the warm feeling I had the night before. Managed to get to 15 minutes. Slightly concernedDay 3: PAIN upon lying down. Couldn’t stand it and rolled off after only 30 secondsDisappointed.Good news: return was perfectly smooth and painless. Unlike the Mat. 🙁

Great product, well made, amazing values abs mission as a business. Just getting used to it but managed 20 mins with bare skin on day one, slept like a baby 🙂 looking forward to continuing with it. Be warned, it’s sharp! It’s a challenging practice but doable I think…..

I came across an epic Instagram and, given my interest in mindfulness, decided to give it a shot. The Shakti mat arrived in the afternoon, I laid it out on the laminate floor, stripped off my shirt, and dived right in. Initially, the spikes were moderately/severely uncomfortable, but not quite painful. Confirming what the video had indicated, I felt like getting off the mat as I thought I was bleeding. After a few minutes, the initial discomfort subsided, and I sensed my body submitting, allowing me to fully commit my weight to the mat. With a bit more time, my back warmed up, and the fists I made loosened and my shoulders relaxed onto the mat. Resistance faded away, and I found myself breathing deeply, entering a state of profound meditation. I observed what appeared to be a bee on a flower gathering pollen, saw the outline of a naked woman with curves, and envisioned a vivid green oil painting of trees/bushes with red fruits. Notably, I also experienced an itchy nose! I After my alarm rang (20 minutes), I got onto my bed and drifted off into a nap with drool on my pillow before realising I was still working from home and promptly logged back on :DAs someone inherently mindful and creative, this experience elevated those qualities to the next level. I look forward to my next session tomorrow . A valuable tip is to refrain from any movement once you lie down, as the sensation of the spikes is in the background at all times, and any movement can intensify the moderate/severe discomfort. Listening to meditation music enhances the overall zen ambiance.Despite the higher cost, I didn’t mind investing in the Shakti mat, as I’m enthusiastic about supporting its ethical production practices and contributions to local charities. The Yogis were right, you can’t enjoy pleasure without some pain.
