I did a lot of research on Cork yoga mats to decide which one was the best to buy. You have one big decision to make really on the base of the yoga mat:1. TPE base which is essentially synthetic rubber made from thermoplastic. Itâs much lighter & cheaper than rubber but itâs thinner, less comfortable and in my opinion less environmentally friendly. These are the majority of cork yoga mats you see online.2. Natural rubber base: This is what this mat is made out of. It is heavier & more eco-friendly, itâs really comfortable and has great cushion. As itâs heavier and rubber, it doesnât roll at the end and has incredible grip.If you donât mind a slightly heavier mat, I would recommend a natural rubber base. The Ecoga mat itself is lovely. The cork is really fine, smooth and of fantastic quality. I really like the artwork also which matches the carry bag you get with it which is also a real bonus. Well worth paying that little bit extra!

High quality, light weight, beautiful design.Comes with a strap, not too heavy at all, I think itâs only 3kg or less? Iâm a petite woman, 5 2ââ and I can easily carry it to a class thatâs a 15 minute walk away, and Iâm pregnant so Iâm already carrying some extra weight!Hands and feet donât slip, the mat is a high quality, been using 4/5 times a week for the past month and itâs wearing well. Alignment mark is handy.Nicely padded so my knees feel protected and comfortable when I practice on a hard surface.Bag isnât very practical as the mat doesnât easily fit inside it, but the strap works perfectly well as a way to roll the mat up and carry it to and from classes.Highly recommend the purchase!

The quality of this mat is honestly amazing, it is very durable and comfortable to use. It doesn’t slip on the floor at all, the carry case is beautiful too and it even comes with a separate additional strap. You can tell as soon as you open the package it is not cheap tat and that the best materials have been used to make it. The design is lovely and calm which makes it enjoyable to turn up to the mat everyday. There is no smell at all with this mat, it is genuinely a 5* product!!The company themselves are an independent company who are not only helpful but are also extremely kind – I had a slight ‘issue’ with my order and they resolved it very fast but also went above and beyond to help me which I am so thankful for.I can’t recommend the company nor the product enough 🙂

After reading reviews for several yoga mats I just couldnât decide my friend then convinced me to try this mat.The mat didnât have a strange smell it feels very grippy when doing Pilates, the cork is very robust as I also do triggers point Pilates and use spikey balls which have not marked the mat at all. The only drawback is that it is quite heavy and I am going to buy a different bag to accommodate the mat to make it easier to carry. But all the other features far outweigh the weight. I suppose it is also strengthening my arms when I carry it so itâs all good.

Overall completely satisfied with Mat. I cannot comment on durability I have only practiced on it twice tgus far, appears to hit the mark being non slip, comfortable to practice on, longer than most other yoga mats so good for most heights. It is definitely heavier than most mats, but not unbearably so, however if walking or cycling any distance the weight might become burdensome.My only criticism is the carry bag that it comes with, it is almost impossible to reinsert by the time you release the mat from its original cellophane binding, therefore becomes redundant.
