Pranayama Cotton Yoga Bolster

$25.99

Ease your mind-body connection with our cotton pranayama bolsters. Our bolsters are supportive, yet supple and made of 100% cotton batting. With this 25″ x 3″ x 6″ fundamental piece, yogis will experience a lengethened spine along with deeper breathing and sheer relaxation. Please note that the measurements are for one seam to another, because of the fluffy nature of cotton you will find the bolsters slightly bigger in size. This will settle down with use.

Great Value and Perfect, just as Expected!
I got this bolster from Amazon Warehouse Deals, because sometimes you get lucky, but if not you can always return! So I saved a little money, and my bolster was a little linty/dusty and a touch lumpy, but other than that it was just perfect for my needs.
Just like the large rounded bolster I got for my restorative program (it’s a joy to flop my whole body across it at the end of my favorite back program) this bolster is sturdy, well-made and comfortable. Oh, and a great deal! Both of them are the dark navy blue, and this little bolster is actually the exact same fabric as the large round one (YogaDirect Supportive Round Cotton Yoga Bolster, Blue) I got a few years ago. This bodes well for my new purchase as I’ve found the Yoga Accessories bolsters to be fantastic quality bargains!
If you get this bolster here are the things you will like:
    1. Very well made item. The seams are strong. The handles are sturdy. The fabric is very durable, and yet it is somewhat soft to the touch– it seems like a brushed duck cotton or something. Durable but comfy! The zippers are good quality and well-covered so as not to be obtrusive or scratchy during use. And for example, my large round bolster has been used, moved, toted about for three years and it looks same as new, give or take some pet hairs. Pet hair definitely sticks to the soft fabric, but it also easily removed with vacuum or other normal means.
    2. Supportive. These are filled with cotton, not buckwheat, but it’s firmly stuffed which I find comfortable. If you want, though, you can remove the stuffing – or some of it – to make the bolster more to your liking. Now, I’ve had no problem with my large bolster smooshing and losing volume, but this small one will probably be used more and it will go under my tailbone, so will more quickly show signs of stuffing deflation. If I notice undue wear I will update this review immediately. Otherwise I will just update as it seems appropriate, which could be in a year or two! 🙂
    3. Amazing price – especially for the quality product. There are a lot of brands out there that seem to charge a lot of money for their products not because they are necessarily engineered better, made of especially great materials or crafted by fairly paid artisans, but seemingly because they can. When I was hunting for a bolster for my back program I was appalled by how expensive many brands were and went looking for the best deal so I could afford to buy all the props I needed as soon as possible– until I found YogaAccessories, which had items very similar for less than half the price. The other brands *may* be better, but these items fit my budget and have the added benefit that I don’t have to freak out if my dog barfs on my $100 bolster!
So, these little guys are highly recommended. I’ve had my larger one for years and hope to have this one for years and more! I will be sure to update my review with anything of note.
Hope this helps and best of luck with YOUR yoga program! 🙂

    Perfect bolster
I especially appreciate the loop on the end of this perfect bolster. It certainly helps grab it while on my back on yoga mat and needing the bolster positioned or removed from under my glutes!

    Just got it
Looks good ! Haven’t used it yet, so I can only say that it arrived in good condition and seems to fit description. I wish the sellers would wait to ask for a rating until I have had a chance to use the product a while. BUT since they ask for a review immediately I will offer 4 stars For now. I got a large 28X10 inch round bolster that is heavy and looks almost too big and full for what I imagined using it for (however will have to see how it works out when I start using it) and a 25 X 3 X 6 rectangular Pranayama bolster that is considerably smaller and light. Both look very well made.

Improving sleep, one night at a time.
Sad fact about aging — body parts don’t come with a warranty. I’ve got three that have some misery potential. Years back, I waited tables and did some damage to both my lumbar and cervical discs. (Heavy trays really shouldn’t be shouldered. OSHA, you might want to get on that.) A few years after that, a truck took offense to my presence in the bike lane and ran me off the road. I lived, but blew all three of the major ligaments in one knee. And the knee injury caused ankle problems (since my other joints have to compensate for unrepairable instability).
For years, sleep meant morning pain. I couldn’t come up with a good position that stretched out my back, elevated my knees and supported my ankles. I tried wedges and lifts and sock things and nothing helped, until I came across one of these bolsters. I prop my knees over it every night, nestle my head into a buckwheat hull pillow, and everything stretches out. My lower back gets flattened, my knees are up. I sleep soundly and solidly and wake up refreshed.
Yoga is not my exercise, no offense to those who enjoy it, but this has improved my world immeasurably.
(Oh, and yes, it does have other uses in terms of things done in a bed. There are times when having a prop is really useful. This bolster is excellent for that.)

    Well-crafted pranayama bolster!
About a year ago, I ordered a large round bolster from Yoga Accessories on Amazon. It exceeded my expectations in quality! So while expanding my home yoga space, I chose to purchase additional accessories from this company. I recently received delivery of the pranayama bolster. It is as described – or better! (I carefully read the description and looked at their photos, so knew the exact size to expect.)
The casing cover is made of a thick quality canvas, has well-sewn seams, canvas “handles” on each end, and a good lengthwise zipper protected by fabric flaps. The stuffing is firmly encased in a cotton liner fabric, and is full enough to fill out the corners of the rectangular shape. I am impressed by the quality of the workmanship, and the support the bolster adds to many poses.
For size comparison, I am including a photo of YogaAccessories’ products I own (thus far): pranayama bolster, large round bolster, zafu cushion, and small silk eye pillow. Hope this helps folks better determine which item they want!

smaller than average but perfect for me
I was glad that others had reviewed this and drew my attention to the size before I bought it. Yes, the dimensions are listed but I didn’t really pay attention to them… I was imagining the large ones in my yoga studio and thought that’s what I wanted. I decided to try this one because it was much cheaper and I’m so glad I did. I’m pregnant and was looking for something mostly to support me in sitting and sleeping, and this one is so much more easy to deal with than one of the big ones. I’ve been using it every day and night for a couple of weeks now and the quality is great. I’m sure it would also work perfectly well for home yoga practice, and is very easy to store in my small Brooklyn apartment. So glad I got it!

  7. Kassy

It is good quality, but about half the size of the bolsters that I am used to. Still able to use it for yoga practice
