Fantastic for yoga (or exercises) literally ANYWHERE!
I absolutely love doing yoga outside, especially on the beach. As I spend a lot of my time traveling in my van, I have a hard time finding level and hard surfaces to practice. This is the perfect solution! It is incredibly durable, easy to transport, can be put together in seconds, and works with and without my mat on top. It creates a level and hard surface on grass, sand, dirt, even rough pavement. And it’s gorgeous 🙂 If you have a carpet, it would work perfectly there too.Plus it comes with a wonderful letter, directions for use and care, and a soft little towel. I would highly recommend it. I use it everyday!

Perfect for exercising on carpet
I have rented apartments with hardwood floors for decades until my recent move. The carpet in my new apartment is cozy for daily life but doesnât support a lifetime practice of ideal bodily alignment. With the root board itâs like Iâm back on my hard wood floors practicing. Laying on my back I can tilt my pelvis and level my hips, balance easier with a more stable footing and root through my hands for handstand play. The root board easily slides in and out of storage on its side when not using but is heavy enough to stay put on the floor while practicing vinyasa, barre, pilates or core workouts. Highly recommend for those who prefer a flat surface to practice on.

Great Feel, Presentation, Storage
I’ve recently been getting back into Yoga, and wanted something that gave me stability on my carpet and outdoor deck. I gave this product a shot for the last 2 weeks, and I love how the bamboo looks and feels like a premium yoga studio floor. This sustainable, high-quality, and honest product looks like it will last many years. This is so refreshing in an era of disposable fashion and planned obsolescence. When I’m not using it, I find it easy to stand against the wall along the short edge. In that position, it takes up little space because it is quite thin. When I needed to store it for a few days, I found it easy to detach the halves and put it in the closet. When it was time for my next session, reassembly was fast. The attachment is designed such that improper assembly is impossible.I’ve tried this on both our deck and the carpet, and it worked great on both. However, this board is purposely weighty to provide the much desired stability and feel, and the product page is very up front about that. In addition, you pretty much need to reassemble the two halves if you need to move it over something like a door sill. For these reasons, I’ve decided to keep the board on the carpet for now.

Beautiful board
Well made but I think these are being stored upright somewhere as there was a bit of warp. Nothing serious but I noticed. This is very expensive and should be stored flat before selling. I donât see this as very portable but will work very well for my intended use. Pretty heavy to carry around anywhere.

I needed this more than I realized
I didnât need this as a younger person, but now that my joints and fascia are a bit crankier, itâs a godsend. It helps me ground properly, which helps me engage my muscles properly, which means Iâm no longer developing repetitive strain injuries from my yoga practice, weight lifting, etc. Doing yoga on this board (and not my dumb carpet) is reversing the painful trend I couldnât seem to recover from. The board came a little bowed and has settled to flat as Iâve used it (took a week or two) and is no longer creaking or making any âsettling inâ noises. Strong, well made, absolutely stands up to vinyasa yoga, my weight workouts, and Barre3. I love it.

MERRILY MOVING & STRETCHING SAFELY on carpet WITHOUT BREAKING my NECK!
Moving & Stretching better WITHOUT Breaking my Neck or having to REDO floors! Feeling rooted in the practice with the yoga ROOT BOARD! Finally feeling grounded on carpet!**SAFELY GROUNDED YOGA POSES!*Finally NO SLIPPING with the Root Board on my yoga mat! Iâm able to do backbends and headstands without the mat moving going into or out of the poses! On carpet (without the Root Board)I can get up into the back bend, but while coming down the mat would slip under my hands. So many times I would worry about injuring my neck and wrists because I have slipped and my neck hurt for a while.*One armed side planks are so much easier and enjoyable due to the stability on the Root Board. Itâs a lot easier to lift a leg or grab a toe too! When on only my feet and hands slide and Iâm clearly am not grounded and safe.* For STRETCHING the FEET and surprisingly the back I use a really big exercise ball to squat down and lean forward on.The pressure from the ball and spending time taking deep breaths is relieving ( I took a picture for a visual). On the Root Board I get a deeper stretch, Iâm able to calm my nervous system, focus on my body and breathe because I donât slip or fall down. Without the Root Board on the carpet, the feet slide as well as the exercise ball making it so I slip or fall.*For the inversion bench, which I donât actually use for practicing inversions, more for putting pressure on the shoulders to loosen them up and stretching the legs. With the inversion bench I like to flip over into a backbend with the RootBoard. Making sure the middle part of the Root Board was not going to receive the full impact when I come down. It just makes sense not to put as much pressure on the part of the board that comes together. It worked well because my feet were not sliding on the landing. On carpet the mat would have bunched up and caused instability.*IDEAL board for STORING and MOVING around! My couch is pretty long and storing the Root Board is easy to put underneath. I need to make sure I take my mat off each time so the board can breathe. The Root Board Bag fits the boards in easily, there is no shoving to force the boards in. Each board is about 28 lbs. , so 56lbs. together. When I want to move around to different places I actually glad the root board is not any bigger or heavier than it is. Iâm able to carry it pretty easily. And of course the weight of the board really makes it stable so I think the creators put a lot of thought into making this exact size.*CARPET does NOT bring STABILITY to a yoga practice. We purchased a home that is mostly carpet and it costs thousands of dollars put hardwood floors down, out carpet is new and looks good. Also there are other things around the house that need to be taken care of. Being on my mat that’s on carpet, it moves with every pose and needing to adjust it for each foot that goes back and hand that goes down it’s not safe. Also the Root Board Cost way less than redoing the floors. It’s a win – win.
