Well Thought Out Practical Guidance
To a fault I have never been one to read self-help books or to fully reflect on what makes me tick. Having gone to the Verge yoga studio off and on over the years I was curious to find out what insights into human behavior the author was going to offer in her book. I came away from reading the book with many ah ha moments. I found that if you are willing to take a serious unbiased look at yourself, and really consider and practice the ideas presented in the chapters, you will only grow in a more positive fashion as a human being. The information presented in the book is allowing me to re-evaluate how I manage myself and my relationships with others. I am looking forward to more fully incorporating the Verge Practices presented in this book into my daily life. Thanks to Cara for providing some very relevant guidance to continually push oneself to be on the verge. Well done!

Love the Energy in this Book!
When I got to Chapter 3 and read the first three paragraphs, I was hooked. Cara writes about how she let go of the struggle for self-improvement, let go of “needing to feel any different, or look any better and gave myself permission to live my life…..a shift in perspective from seeking to allowing, from doing to being”… Cara gives us down-to-earth, simple and practical strategies for living our lives fully in the moment. Nicely written and organized, a great resource and reminder, if we need one, to being alive and present in our lives.

Cara Bradley’s book On The Verge, is a true testament to how Cara lives her life. Cara writes about being present and showing up in your daily experiences. Cara stresses it takes work, but the hardest part is being in tune with your mind and body. Cara provides strategies and advice on getting rid of the negative chatter that depletes your energy. I have heard Cara speak, she is passionate and extremely knowledgeable. Cara’s voice is a gift that will bring you in to make positive changes in order to be the best version of you.

Short, simple, and hugely impactful.
What I love about this book is it’s not a traditional mindfulness book. Yes, it has scores of simple, doable practices to become calm and clear, but the end goal is to use that clarity for a purpose. To get razor sharp in whatever field you love, to find the zone or flow.On the Verge is deceptively simple. It is incredibly accessible. But it empowers the reader to wield the power of a quiet, calm mind.

More than an important read – an important DO!
On the Verge was the helpful reminder of the things I know, yet often forget, and the teacher of ideas, and most important for me, practices that I hadn’t yet imagined – all of which will help me be more mindful, present, joyful and alive. As Cara writes, it doesn’t take much to be more present and fully awake, and at the same time, it takes everything. I know that by taking at least some of the steps that Cara describes I’ll see even more peace in my life.
