Quality card stock, with clear instructions. Easy to build a routine! Beginner and pro friendly!
I bought the NewMe yoga cards. I’ve been doing yoga for a decade. I love doing in person classes but only go once a week; a regular practice requires more commitment than that. Have tried videos at home several times but I never cared much for that format – my TV sits up high which makes it hard to see from the floor, and the best video instructors are never as personable or enjoyable an in person class. There are currently several different brands of yoga cards available on this shopping portal – I’ve tried several so far and the NewMe ones are the best I’ve seen yet. These cards are bigger, pleasant to handle and they’re constructed of sturdy plastic; not paper like a deck of cheap playing cards. The Sanskrit and “common” name for each pose is written on the front of each card. On the flip side the poses are broken down, sometimes with modifications for the more difficult ones. The different “flow series” suggestions in the deck are great (a flow series is just a series of poses which make up a routine or session). Finally I’ve found a system for doing yoga at home which actually works for me. I put on some music, put out my mat and work through one of the suggested sessions in the deck. Later on I’ll make my own series. So many options!I do need to come up with a better way to store my cards. As I said before, the cards themselves are great – nice quality plastic stock, but the case they are housed in is flimsy and it takes some time to cram them back into the deck once I’m done. This is just a small suggestion to the manufacturer though and not a serious criticism.Overall a great purchase. Great layout and design, quality card stock and printing and the explanation for each pose is well done. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or a seasoned pro, you’ll find these cards are easy and enjoyable to work with. Namaste!

    Well Designed
I love TRX at the gym and recently received a set as a gift that I use at home. TRX provides a pamphlet of basic moves to get started but I was looking for something more and I have other cards from NewMe Fitness that I love so I figured it was a safe bet these would be good too. They are great! Clear pictures, easy to mix and match to create personal workouts and there are so many moves I had never seen even at the gym. It’s fantastic. They are large enough that you can lay a card on the ground so you can see it while you do the move and the variety is enough for beginners to experienced.I love that they show which muscles each move is targeting. They provide six routines to get you started but, as I said, it is easy to mix and match and create your own especially since you know which muscles are being targeted. Makes it easy to design your own full body or something for lower body one day, upper body next. They also provide 12 stretches which helped me as I’m terrible about stretching even though I know I won’t be as sore if actually did. They are also pretty compact so they are easy to slip in a drawer but I actually keep them in the bag with my TRX straps so they are ready when I am. Oh and each card is numbered making it easy to mark which ones you want for a particular workout. Plus there are useful tips to change up an exercise and each card gives an idea if it is easy or hard so you can decide if your fitness level can do a particular exercise. I highly recommend, they are well designed and compact enough to bring to the gym if you don’t have your own suspension straps or if you travel.

    A little expensive, but good
The negative first – For this price, I think they could have been slightly larger, something to add a bit more value or perhaps easier to read. I don’t mind the price point. The value doesn’t quite feel it matches the price. The positive – These are nice cards and seem to be well made. The idea is great as is the diverse selection of exercises in this deck. The neutral – The print is a little small. I can read it, but my middle-aged eyes have to work at it just a bit. This is another argument for making the cards a bit larger (without increasing the price). What they helped me accomplish – In the sea of workout books, websites, etcetera there is just no easy way to simply put together a workout. These cards solve that problem. The deck I purchased has enough basic exercises for me to put together a workout that should help me get back in shape. There are plenty of more advanced exercises included as well. Photos are on one side, instruction and tips are on the other. There are even cards that suggest different ways to combine the exercises for different types of workouts and/or intensity of workouts. These make a great cheat sheet or an exercising for dummies (like me) solution. Simple but brilliant!I purchased the dumbbell deck 1 and bodyweight deck 1 decks. This review reflects how I feel about both. I also purchased the clear plastic cases to store them in. The cases will be useful. Again, they are a bit overpriced.

I was doing a lot of travel 6 years ago and used these cards to develop daily workouts. I was not always able to get to a gym so these came in handy.

I really like this product and is perfect for what I need and want. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to exercise at home.

So much easier than stopping and starting videos. Illustrations and instructions are easy to understand. Yes, they are pricey, but very practical and to my mind, a great buy. So happy I decided to buy them.

Le encantó a mi papá que hace ejercicio con un bosu. Buena impresión y buenos ejercicios. Solo me comenta que algunos estuvieron muy fáciles y otros demasiado difíciles.

Love these yoga cards! The sequences are great for people who are just learning especially if you’re visual and don’t want to be in a studio surrounded by people who just seem to know exactly what they are doing. Once ou get more comfortable its fun to use the cards to create your own sequences!Im also a Phys ed teacher and I use these with my students! A fun way to make them enjoy yoga!
