So I researched mats extensively before buying this. Have had a jade & a couple mandukas & was hesitant to buy this as there wasnât that much info in the description(at the time of my purchase) but after looking at SO many ugly mats that *might* work this one caught my eye. High price tag with little info tho? I took the leap, and boy am I glad I did. This thing GRIPS. I wasnât ever a fan of the smooth finish (one reviewer said she ran her fingers along it & knew it wouldnât grip so returned it. Her loss there). Iâve used it in Ashtanga, vinyasa, hot flow & hot 26. Perfect amount of cushion & yes itâs kinda heavy but thatâs what straps are for. Not so heavy when itâs just on your back & itâs worth the haul. I legit have not slipped on it since I got it. Wet or dry. If anything it is *too* grippy. No problem changing my foot position just I feel I stick to it in the humidity when lying on my back. So I put a mini towel down under my back. But this is legit unparalleled grip. You arenât gonna fall. The alignment strips are nice if you want that. Why .3 stars less? It takes a long while to dry- usually just hang it overnight (now) but never had to do that with my mandukas. But the grip is FAR superior. The bottom does attract dirt & folding it so the top only touches the top left a crease in the middle. But these are aesthetics. Iâm absolutely in love with this mat regardless. Iâve been practicing a decade & I really think this is it. Best mat Iâve ever owned & feels like itâs gonna last a long while.

Amazing yoga mat!
As an certified instructor I am pretty selective about my mat. Iâve had Lululemon & Manduka and practiced and taught with them for many years. When I went looking for a replacement mat with the same size and quality of what I was used to, well, it was not so easy. I researched and was thrilled to find this superstar. It is everything and more than what I was using previously. Highly recommended!

Good practice requires good mat. I didnât realize it until I tried this one. I recommend it! Mat perfect for coupling, and color, everything is perfect. The bag is a very nice bonus!

Nice mat quality, pretty color, long, and sticky bottom. But thin and too narrow for me. Wouldnât buy again at that price

This mat will not slip!
I have spent 30+ years dealing with mats that are either somewhat or quite slippery. Having your hands slip in downward dog is really quite annoying.I was determined to find one that was not at all slippery and am thrilled to say that I have found it! This mat is heavier than most, but is definitely NON-SLIP, which is exactly what I was looking for. If you’re looking for a non-skid mat, look no further!

Great mat but very heavy
Overall very happy with the mat. However, I debated returning it because it was MUCH heavier than advertised. The label in the box says the weight is 6lb but it was more like 12+lb. I’ve made peace with it as a home practice mat as that’s what I do most of the time. But would have rated this a 5star if it was lighter and more portable.

Great quality mat
Iâve had this mat for several weeks now and I love it! I donât do hot yoga with it tend to have sweaty palms and this mat is sticky enough to keep me in my positions. Itâs not a cushy mat but thatâs good for me. I also get a lot of compliments on it cause itâs a nice looking mat.

Just Right
Love it! Provides a firm cushion, and the mat doesn’t slide around on wood floors due to the weight and rubber back. I don’t slide around on it when I get sweaty, and the smooth texture is easy on my hands and feet.

This is a very comfortable mat with thicker padding, which also makes it a little heavier. I like the cork, and the mat has not slipped or moved in any of my sessions. Very pleased.

Itâs overall a nice mat but the smell of rubber is overpowering. Iâve put it outside everyday for 2 weeks and smell wonât go away.
