I am he. He am I.
I started private Yoga lessons about four months ago from a highly trained and experienced instructor. Due to COVID-19 lockdown my lessons are on hold so I’ve already read five Yoga books and this is an outstanding book on Vinyasa. The information is in depth but clearly explained and understandable no matter the level of the reader’s training. This book has accelerated my knowledge and assisted me in developing a plan and goals for my Yoga journey.

Complete and comprehensive guide to Vinyasa and beyond
This book is one of the most comprehensive guides to Vinyasa yoga practice and much more. It includes guidance for meditation, pranayama, sanskrit terminology and much more. It addresses alignment techniques for each individual asana and optimal sequencing for all levels and all situations. It is illustrated with numerous photos . It is the MOST complete and comprehensive guide I have ever seen.

    Learning about Yoga
I like to learn by doing, but also I like reading about the topic so I am aware. This book is very helpful in learning yoga flows and their benefits.

    Simplifies the difficult!
Mastering Vinyasa Yoga thoroughly explores advancing from the most basic Yoga poses into those that are more challenging. Raji offers many terrific tips to get into those poses that look impossible to achieve. I also like the many tidbits he offers in regard to breathing and stillness. A true master!!! Loved it!

    Masterful
The most concise book on all aspects of Yoga YOGA I have ever read. It contains an in depth overview of the most important aspects of the Science of Yoga. The style of writing makes this book beneficial and comprehensible to all levels.

    Not a sequencing book
The book arrived on time. It is advertised as a comprehensive guide to sequencing. There is no information about sequencing. The entire book is full of photos of Asanas. Not helpful

I’ve been teaching yoga asana for over 30 years and have literally bought 100s of yoga books. I would recommend this to everyone interested in vinyasa yoga being that a client who wants to develop their own practice right up to experienced teachers looking for inspiration and a quick recap of both the philosophy and a logical progression for every series of poses. Raji has so much experience he isn’t tied into one dogma so the theory section is very easy to read and open minded. The ideas on sequencing are great and his earth and sun salutation variations are now my new everyday warm-up, fun effective and cover all the planes of movement. If you love vinyasa buy it, if your thinking of teacher training defintely buy it.
