This is my second eKO mat. I now have a travel mat and one just for the house.
The only thing I wish was that it was thicker. 4mm is thinner I have learned. That said, I am keeping it. It is an excellent mat for yoga. It provides superior grip. I know my hands are not going to slip in down dog.I already own the eKOlite travel yoga mat. I love it. It stayed in my gym bag in the car so it was always handy. It is COVID now. I took it out of my car to use in the house because my house yoga mat wasnât nearly the same quality.I purchased this one after forgetting to put my travel one in the car when I went away. There were no brick and mortar stores that had a yoga mat. I tried using a towel to do yoga while away. It didnât work well at all.I wanted another eKOlite mat because my travel mat is 2 years old and is still in great shape and the stickiness works like the first day I used it I do clean it but not nearly as much as I should. I also chose the eKOlite because it is eco friendly, made from biodegradable non-Amazon harvested natural tree rubber. Another factor in choosing is the length. I am 5â7 and the 68 inch mats work well enough but I wanted something a little longer. The 3 inches of what this provides is exactly what I needed. I also chose this because of its superior grip.It does have a natural rubber scent when first used. I remember this with my first one. It did last a bit of time for the odor to go away. It does go away though.The 4 mm thickness is dense. It is not soft. I was concerned about this with my knees at first. I laid out Another more plush yoga mat next to this one and alternated between the two to see the difference. What I realized was my knee sank to the floor on the plush one not really providing me with much padding anyhow. The eKO mat is very stable under me. It feels the same no matter what pose I am in.

Non slip
I practice yoga daily including hot yoga 3xweek. Been using this mat for 2 and a half months now and couldn’t be more satisfied! It is durable, non slip and wipes clean easily with just a damp cloth. I did air it out per instructions when I first received it due to its slight rubber odor. Personally the odor was never strong enough to irritate me and now is nonexistent.I’m also surprised how comfy and “cushiony” the mat feels under my knees since it’s 4mm and my old mat ( not a Manduka) was 5mm.I definitely recommend this eco friendly yoga!

Perfect
I canât even begin to tell you how much I this mat. Itâs lightweight but also thick enough to cushion you, itâs sticky enough to hold poses but not so sticky that you canât move around on it. The color is gorgeous. It did have a slight smell the first day but I spread it out underneath the ceiling fan in my sunroom, burn an incense in the room, by the end of the day it was perfect and I havenât noticed any smell since. So happy that I purchased this.

Good mat
This is a good quality mat. I love the color I got. The smell is present for the first few days but I left it unrolled and it is now gone. As for grip- pretty decent. I don’t do heated classes so I’m not overly sweaty. My palms will occasionally slip a little but not bad. If you want a really non slip mat for heated classes I would choose Jade yoga mats. Otherwise, this is a really good mat. It has a little more cuhsion than my Jade mat which I like. I would recommend.

A great upgrade to standard yoga mats
My old yoga mat finally fell apart after almost 15 years so I got an upgrade! Learned about this brand from some fellow students at my aerial school and decided to “have my husband buy it” for my Christmas present, haha. It has a bit of a smell when you first get it, it’s a bit harder to roll up than the standard thin foam mats, and it feels like it weighs a ton, but when I’m warming up it never moves and I never move on it. Firm but cushy, awesome color, and seems like it will last at least as long as my last one if not longer. Great addition to my workout gear. Very pleased, though the price is a bit hard to swallow.

Very strong toxic smell
Iâve used this brand and this type of mat for many years, and I have two more mats at home of the same model, just in different colors. However, this time the smell of the mat is really bad and causing headaches. I feel like this might not be a genuine brand product, or perhaps they changed OEM to a cheaper factory or something. The smell is so overwhelming, and it hasnât gone away after several days.

An absolute dream for hot yoga. Nonslip, light weight, and attractive.Where it lost 2 stars is the mat arrived with scuffs and the outside was absolutely filthy. There are dark brown grime spots at the foot of the mat. I’ve tried washing it off, but it’s stuck for good. Pretty disappointing QA for the price point. Their lack of QA cost them 2 stars…maybe 3 on a grumpy day.The 3rd star was lost with the color delivered. I purchased a luscious 2 sided green mat (see photo 1), what I received was a two sided sage on grey, not even close to what I ordered.
