Living Love helps you better relate to yourself and the world around you, as well as to access the unitary wholeness of being, leading to greater happiness, mental balance, and spiritual depth.
This book extends far beyond yogic practice on the mat, spreading mindfulness and awareness from yoga to the rest of your life. It advises on how to handle negative thought patterns and energy and suggests things to do to gradually transform your life or tap into energetic new perspectives.
It is a poetic and profoundly moving book, with deep spiritual and psychological insight. Delving into the first two limbs of the eight-fold path of yoga, given in Patanjali’s classic Yoga Sutras, Living Love is a spiritual guidebook that can bring these foundational practices of yoga alive in your life, helping you to:
Live in integrityHave compassion for yourself and othersHeal emotional wounds, sadness, and anxietyDevelop habits and behaviors that will support your well-beingLead a value-based life for spiritual awakening and self-realization.
Practical exercises are included at the end of the book to help you put it all into action.
The practices of Yama and Niyama are yoga’s method for purifying our minds by changing our attitudes and behaviors to allow more subtle spiritual awareness to awaken within us. We are constantly bombarded in life by various experiences that can be disruptive. Learning to cope with life’s difficulties and live in equanimity, deepening our spiritual connection is the foundation of yoga. There is nothing in yoga more essential than these practices.

Applicable to all humans
The teachings of Patanjali have been around for centuries, yet these guidelines seem to transcend time. I have always learned a little here and there but this book makes these guided teachings very accessible. The wisdom in these teachings are ones that can truly create peace within the practitioner and they are also based in common sense. I feel like this is what weâre missing in modern times.

Maetreyii’s book offers a beautiful reflection of when wisdom has become inherently experienced
Maetreyii’s book offers a beautiful reflection of when wisdom has become inherently experienced. It softens our gaze to sense and move and become the tone of our inner natural state of being. This quote summed it up for me:”Compassion is an attitude, a feeling, a reflection of all embracing, unconditional love. It holds nothing back and doesnât run.”Maetreyii Ma

Useful to the Spritual Seeker
This really a wonderful and insightful book. It offers a lot to the spiritual seeker, from daily meditations to different perspectives on life, loving and living. to read and I think it offersa lot to the reader who wishes to refer to it on a regular basis. While I enjoyed and would recommend the book to all seekers……I found one aspect that I found to be a minor distraction. The author offers a lot of new terms, presumably Buddhist or Hindu. They are loosely defined when presented, but lack any clear and concise definition and/or pronunciation. I think it would be very useful to first define the word and provide the reader with the correct pronunciation before proceeding. I found it difficult to maintain my train of thought when my brain was preoccupied with pronouncing the new word. All things considered…..I would recommend thks book to all.
