Love! Warm, comfortable with mid calf coverage
I seem to go through socks quite regularly, going stocking feet around the house…and am always looking for a mid weight wool blend sock that has a bit of stretch and covers more than just the ankles in cold weather.I have FOUND the brand and style!!!These ‘hiking’ socks are warm, but not too hot… are very comfortable with a bit of cushion… come up to my mid calf for snow weather leg coverage with jeans… and they stretch without being saggy. I got the all black pack and am in ‘sock happy land’!!! ð(Now just hope these stay in stock…)Comes packed in a gift-type paper box with individual paper bands around each pair.Recommend hands-down.

Runs Small For Men’s Sizes – Probably Sock Sizing Instead
The socks are nice, but beware that they do run smaller than other socks. I’m a women who wears a size 9.5 in women’s, sometimes size 10, depending on if the shoe runs small. In men’s sizes I’m most comfortable in a size men’s 8.5. With that in mind, the LARGE fit me just right, and are snug, as a wool sock should be. I can’t imagine the sock fitting a men’s size 13 without stretching too thin and not a proper fit. The socks are a medium weight, but the past few years that’s all I receive on Amazon even when stating “thick” socks. They’re plenty warm enough for So Cal, but I can’t speak for wear in snowy areas. And, wool, if truly 70%, is good all year round. I have sensitive skin at times and the socks did not bother my skin. The box is okay for gift giving, kind of generic. The individual paper bands on each pair only state wool socks, not the content amounts of each (70% merino wool, 23% polyester, 5% spandex, 2% nylon) as in the description. I’ve included pics of the front and back bands – care instructions on back. They feel soft and comfortable, but there are some strings only on top near the bands of colors (if you buy solid colors, you might not have this). The foot of the bed is a terry, which is good for breathability and absorbing foot moisture. I did receive one pair where the design was off a little (see pic). These socks are good for personal use, for me. As far as if good enough to gift to someone, that decision is yours! I hope my review helped someone make a choice! Other reviews helped me, too!
