The perfect yoga mat!
This is a very comfortable, sturdy yoga mat. Here are some of my observations:1.It is thick enough to cushion knees, hands and shoulders, but not so thick as to make balancing postures impossible. A thick yoga mat sounds good in theory, but they make balancing postures much harder.2. It is a generous length and width. Some of the larger yoga mat makers have reduced the size of their mats, so just be careful when yoga mat shopping. I prefer this size so I don’t find my head constantly falling off the mat.3. I am a creature of habit, so I only use the blue side, but the colors are very accurately shown.4. As a person who practices yoga almost every day, I am surprised at how much I use the center markings. It’s good to keep feet in the right place for down dog, but you’ll look down at your feet in Warrior 2, for example, and say to yourself, “this really helps!”5. The smell. Yes, it has a strong plastic/rubber-type odor at first. The company says to air it out for 2-3 days. In my opinion, roll it out and leave it for a good 7-10 days. Maybe my nose is more sensitive, but that’s what worked for me.6. The carrying strap. It is very sturdy, and hard to see in the photo, but the round parts of the straps easily become larger/smaller, so if you don’t roll up your mat perfectly every time, you can just change the strap to fit. I practice yoga at home, but I still use the strap to roll the yoga mat up and store it on the shelf.I really think you’ll enjoy using this mat. I know I do!

At Last, the Perfect Yoga Mat
After trying numerous mats, I finally found one perfect for both hot and regular yoga. This mat offers excellent grip control, is lightweight, and looks fantastic!

So far, so good. Cleans up easily, stink didn’t last too long. Perfect cush, accurate color representation. I would give it 5 stars if it lasts 2 years or more.

perfect for long yoga sessions
I bought this to replace my boyfriend’s old mat and he LOVES it – he said highlight are no slip, on the floor or hands / feet, easy to clean, its not super thick but still comfortable so easy to store and carry but offers comfort to any pressure like on hands or knees.

Odor, grooved texture that is not the best non-slip surface
I had a basic Heathyoga mat prior to this one that was great and never got slippery in hot yoga. After years of use, the surface was starting to peel in a few areas, so I thought I would try a new mat.I liked the pattern of this mat and it was described as non-slip for hot yoga. I have been using this mat for over 2 months now and it is not nearly as nice as my old mat.1) it IS slippery with less secure hand/footing during hot yoga than advertised2) it has been wiped MANY times and still has a toxic smell/taste that actually stays on your hands through multiple hand washings. Yes, I bite my nails a bit, and the taste is still on them hours after class. And, the chemicals irritate my eyes and face when I towel off after yoga.3) wiping this mat off at the end of hot yoga is a very loud process. Whether you are wiping it off horizontally or vertically, it makes a zipper type noise. I have never heard anyone else’s mats sound like this when they are wiping theirs off and I feel like I am disrupting the room when I start to wipe mine off.I wish I hadn’t wasted my money and sprung (gulp) for a bought a Liforme mat.

Possibly Good Mat But Too Thin For Me
I love that this mat uses rubber and Heath yoga makes quality mats in my experience. Also I didn’t find the mat to have a strong smell as other reviewers mentioned. The pattern is also cool.However, this mat was too thin for me. I thought the density of the rubber would make up for the thinness but my knees are too brittle for this mat. I need something with more thickness, density, or support.I could see it being a decent mat for someone who wants a thin mat that is easy to transport and made of natural rubber.

Outstanding
This is a heavy mat and not the typical sticky mat kind. So, it will depend on the type of yoga you practice how you feel about it. I have both this one, which is outstanding quality, as well as a Gaiam sticky mat depending on what kind of workout I’m doing. I feel like this mat should be getting more marketing attention
