Easy set up
This product came with a thorough brochure. That explains exactly how grounding works from a scientific perspective. The directions were really easy to follow. I suggest that you read them for yourself and follow them to the t to ensure your safety.I like how large this grounding mat is itâs the same size as any yoga mat. Iâve only been using it for an hour or so I canât really tell if it is helping ground me. I imagine that it may take a little while for me to notice any differences, I plan on coming back and updating this review after Iâve been using it for a while.I ordered this product because I live in Texas and itâs been in the hundreds and even though itâs already fall. Itâs been way too hot to go outside anytime after 10 AM so I am looking forward to using this product to help ground me.

Good sized mat, used everyday
We are loving this mat and use it every day. It comes with a nice carrying back which is super lightweight, so thats a plus for carrying around. The included outlet ground tester is a nice touch, without it you could potentially have an ungrounded mat. It works just like an ESD mat. Plug the socket into the wall, connect the wire to the socket and then to the mat. Grounded mat instantly. We’ve left it out unrolled and it stays flat. The design on the mat is nice and better than just plain black.

Does not grip
This mat requires me to put another mat on top so I can get the appropriate traction needed during my yoga practice.

Works for grounding
Nice yoga mat. It does work, I checked with an ohmmeter (multimeter) to verify and it indeed does ground you. The mat is not too thin or thick. Thinner than my current yoga mat but not thin as in a cheap big box store mat. Comes with an outlet tester, mat, wire and socket plug. The socket plug was hard to push in. I tried it in several outlets only to have the same issue. I see this plug can also be used in Europe so maybe European plus are a bit wider for the ground. Included is a storage bag, it is of thin quality but serves it’s purpose. It is just a tad shorter than my current yoga mat, but is a good 2 inches narrower than my current mat. I prefer a wider mat. This mat is approx 24 1/4″ wide where as my current mat is 26 1/8″ wide.I found that when I used the mat I would slide, whether it be my hands or feet. I may try yoga socks to see if that helps. I like the fact that the mat grounds you so it could be nice to do a meditation on, I’m just not sure I will be able to absolutely use it for yoga. I just may need more grip than what I am getting. It does come with a manual which showed a picture of using it by your sink while doing dishes, you also could use it as a work mat if you need to stand for any length of time. You do need to be barefoot in order to ground with this mat. So if I do wind up using yoga socks then I will only be grounding through my hands. It will only ground where you are touching your bare skin.

Decent yoga mat no matter what the ‘grounding’ does
My wife is a yoga instructor and is very picky about her equipment. She tries any new equipment that comes her way and probably likes only a third of it. As far as adopting for regular use it’s somewhere between 5% and 10%. She’s really good at describing the qualities and/or issues *and* she’s mindful that what might be good for a yoga instructor might not be the same for a recreational yogi or a novice.First of all, she’s not sold on the ‘grounding’ concept in general as well as the variety of benefits the product description suggests (eg: inflammation, anxiety, pain, etc.) She also said that she didn’t become a yoga instructor to test outlets for grounding which is a valid point. This is just her opinion and ‘your mileage may vary’ as to the efficacy of grounding and the benefits derived therefrom. The mat itself is a nice one. It’s a good size though my wife said she prefers thicker mats. Again, that’s a personal preference and she did qualify it to say that the best thickness depends on a number of factors such as personal preference, the characteristics of the surface you’re using it on, the type of yoga you’re practicing and so forth. The surface is only moderately ‘grippy’ but once again that’s also a matter of taste and the type of yoga you’re practicing. She really liked the markings on the mat which you’re seeing more and more of recently. This helps you keep your bearings as to where you are on the mat which isn’t always easy to determine.Bottom line–the mat is a good one assuming that you like and/or need a relatively thin and moderately grippy mat. As for the grounding, I guess you might have a different experience than my wife did. Recommended.

Disappointed in complete lack of instructions
I’ve heard a bit about grounding and its benefits and have been very curious to try it out. I have NOT, however, read the book “Earthing.” I was very disappointed to find that this mat, practically speaking, does not come with any real information or instructions for use. There is a fairly thick booklet included with the mat, but the majority of the pages are blank for “notes” on how you feel. The rest is short descriptions of various products and anecdotes on how one person or another experienced one benefit or another. There’s no actual information and no instructions. They just say basically to plug it in. But there’s two things that it can be plugged into, it doesn’t say which one. I guess it probably doesn’t matter, but it would be nice to know. There’s also no information on how long to use it, how to clean or maintain it, how it works or how to know it’s working, etc. They basically expect you to have read the “Earthing” book and know how to use it already or something. As far as the mat itself, as a yoga mat, it’s quite thin and has no grip. It’ll do, but I certainly wouldn’t choose it as just a yoga mat, especially at this price!! I got it for the earthing aspect, but I guess I’m going to have to read a book and do a bunch of research since nothing was included.
