This Mat Could Not Be Better!
This mat is perfect for my exercise routines. The cork surface is ideal for traction and comfortable body contact. The “rubber” underlay is firm but slightly resilient. The materials have minimal to no toxicity. It had a mild odor on arrival that quickly dissipated in a day. I have never had such an excellent exercise mat in 50 years of mat exercise. I do not use this as a yoga mat. I do a combination of resistance exercises with dumbbells, Pilates exercises, and Western style calisthenics. For these, I find the firm resilience of this mat to be ideal.Only caution I would have for people considering this mat is that it does not seem to readily lie entirely flat. I have not reverse-rolled it to try to get it to lie flat, preferring to weigh it down at the corners when I use it, so I don’t know how effective that would be in producing a completely flat-lying mat.

Best Yoga mat
I love this mat, i use it for hot yoga and reg yoga. it feels thick and comfy under my knees and gives lot of grip so i don’t slip during down dog. i also feel like it doesn’t get smelly easily.

Perfect for at-home yoga!
This mat is the only one I’ve tried that has actual grip without need of a towel! I only use it at home, so I’m not sure how it would stand up against a hot yoga class, but it’s amazing for my home workouts! I was nervous about the texture, but it’s actually very subtle and helps with stability.

Excellent mat, helping with my sensitive skin. I use it for my daily stretches.
I like the quality of the mat and that it has a natural cork top which helps with my sensitive skin. I only gave it 4 starts because after a month of use it hasn’t fully flattened out on the ends. I tried putting heavy books and barbell weights on it but still still has a slight curl from when it was shipped to me all rolled up. The curled ends are just a minor annoyance, though, and doesn’t affect its use. I would buy one again.

A great yoga mat, especially for hot yoga lovers!
This mat is super light weight. At first I was skeptical because its so light, it almost felt flimsy; however, once I laid it down it was perfect. Absolutely non-slip even during a very hot yoga moment. Easy to wipe down after class. Great to carry also bc itâs so light-weight. Highly recommend.

EXACTLY what I needed for hot yoga! I don’t slip AT ALL now from sweating. Sweat is visible on the mat after yoga practice but dries quickly, with no apparent odor other than a bit of “cork smell” still (which I like and is not unpleasant). EXTRA UNEXPECTED BONUS: the mat provides sufficient cushion on my knees (even with only 5 mm thickness), so I no longer need to put towels under my knees for certain poses. SUPER impressed with quality and function! Probably going to buy a couple for friends. (P.S. I paid full price, not part of a promotion or anything, just super happy with this purchase.)Update: I ordered two more of these mats today to give as gifts because I love it so much. Noted today, this mat is very reasonable priced but still of high-quality construction, win-win.

Its ok, cheap feeling
I have the Arc Yoga mat but its now unavailable on amazon and im looking for a matching one for my husband. This is definitely way more lightweight than the arc one but it gives me very flimsy. I like to roll my mat with the cork on inside, i tried with this gaiam one and the cork starts to get wrinkled so rolling that way would cause damage i think. its an ok buy for the price i guess but doing more research to find him the heavy duty one i have from arc. if your in for aestethics and need lightweight this is for you. Im wondering how it will hold up over time

I love this mat! At first I was skeptical because when I unrolled it, it wouldnât lay flat and you canât roll it with the cork side on the inside…so the ends curl down when laid out. However, after a couple of uses, when I unroll it, it now lays flat. And it is the best mat Iâve gotten so far! And Iâve tried quite a few.It is amazingly light – I never knew a mat could be so light!And it is the most grippy mat Iâve ever had. Not a sticky grippy, but a really comfortable grippy. So no slipping happening at all! And the hotter I get, the more grip there is. Itâs awesome. And it has no smell at all! So in childâs pose, I was used to smelling a light rubber smell with my previous mats. But with this one – no smell at all. And the thickness is just right – I have great balance on this mat and it doesnât hurt my knees. And as a bonus, it is so very pretty!So all in all, it is a great purchase! Amazing quality for the price! Iâve used it 6 days a week since I got it and I donât regret it one bit!Great yoga mat!!
