While I believe in acupuncture and acupressure, I was a bit skeptical of this ⦠but I like this brand and at the price point I figured it was worth a try. Yikes! IMPRESSIVE! If you can get past the first 2-3 minutes, especially on bare skin, it absolutely does increase blood flow and even feel relaxing. As someone with tattoos, it feels somewhat similar at first. PRO TIP: Donât move around on it. Not a long term pain solution, but so far helpful.

There are a hundred different versions of these things here and all over the web now. It’s not complicated, just a piece of covered foam, buttoned in plastic spikes, and a logo that seems interchangable. We bought the Gaiam brand to hopefully get a better quality product when sifting through all the various permutations of these, but I don’t think it made a bit of difference.Mat works as intended. Harsh to use the first few times, but I did fall asleep on it one night. It was uncomfortable to roll off of on the bed when I did wake up, but it does actually relax you after time and provide some “loud” comfort.

hmmmm…. not sure about this product
This acupressure set has a small mat approximately 16″ x 24″ and a matching pillow, both covered in circular plastic disks that are covered in hard plastic spikes. I think that it has helped me with temporary pain relief, as the little spikes redirect blood flow. The pillow, in particular, feels good to me, and makes my neck tingle. I am not sure if there is any lasting relief though, and I am not please with the construction of this product. The mat is fashioned like an envelope or pillowcase. It is a removable cover for a very flimsy 1/2 inch thick piece of foam. This foam compresses down to nothing with the slightest touch. So essentially, you are lying on the floor without padding, which makes me wonder why this wasn’t just sold as a flat piece of cloth with the disks attached. It is nice that you can take the foam out to clean the exterior, but I don’t think you can throw it into the washing machine as the disks are just attached with glue.The pillow has a denser foam that holds up better.I am not sure whether or not to recommend this item. It may provide short term relief but it is not very well constructed.
