Excellent for Hot Vinyasa Flow and IHP
This mat is perfect for activities with a lot of sweat and motion. I use this for Hot Vinyasa Flow and IHP (Inferno Hot Pilates) where I sweat a lot and they do not soak through. Although there is often puddling (but that is just me) they soak up enough of the sweat and provide good grip. There is no slipping once they get a little damp. Contrast this to Bikram Yoga where the Waymat towel is better because it soaks up more sweat and adds some cushion, but it is terrible when you have significant movement because it pulls and bunches. The Kulae Hybrid mat is excellent, and we use them exclusively for Vinyasa and IHP. It also works better than the Waymat-Neo. I have used both.

Love it !!!!
I was first skeptical about this mat. I practice yoga in a daily basis. From ashtanga, vinyasa flow to hot yoga and bikram. So here I am carrying in my car a Manduka thick, heavy mat (which is very good mat) plus a mat towel and my yoga gear rushing after work to my yoga studio. I wanted a mat-towel combo that would be lightweight but somehow cushioning , good for all type of yoga, not only for hot or bikram. I thought that was too much to ask but this mat went beyond my expectation because on top of everything it’s machine washable. I’ve been using it every day and no matter what type of yoga I’m practicing, it works great for me. Good grip, nice to the touch, doesn’t get slippery on hot or normal temperatures. Also it looks really cool.

Love the towel surface!
I love this mat because, unlike the rubber mat I had before, I don’t slide on it. The towel keeps my feet and my hands right where they should be during poses such as downward dog. It is a little thin, however, you can always double it up with the rubber mat you no longer want on top, or use a towel or blanket for knees here and there.

Love this mat
I have had this yoga mat before and love it. Easy to clean, great grip and you can wash in the machine a ton and it still stays great.

Great product for the hot room, but cleaning can be an issue
I like the nonslip surface under my feet and that there is no bunching under my feet. My only issue is that cleaning is awkward. Though the manufacturer claims that it’s machine washable, it is too heavy for most home machines-especially for top loaders. After a juicy class, I typically lay it out in the sun to dry and disinfect before the next use, but that only works for about 10 uses before it really needs to be washed. I’ve washed it by hand in the bathtub, but it’s too heavy and thick to wring out well, so I either have to hang it over the tub on a juryrigged bar which can take up to 2 days, or carry the heavy sopping mat outside to dry-weather permitting. I have taken it to a commercial laundromat and washed it in a large capacity front loader which costs $7 and takes about 1/2 hour for the wash cycle. I don’t machine dry the mat at the laundry mat, but at least the spin cycle removes most of the water, so line drying doesn’t take so long. The Kulae mat is very durable. I have been using the same mat for over 3 years, and there is no sign of wear-still looks and works like new.

Perfect Mat Ever! (Heads Up: Garnet color = Pink!)
Heads up! This May is Pink, not Garnet/burgundy.Besides that note, this is the PERFECT mat.Itâs soft, absorbent, cute, and ideal for all types of yoga. (Plus you can throw it in the wash!) 110% recommend to my family, friends, and you, reader.

Perfect for Hot Yoga
I have been using a Yogitoes towel atop my mat during hot yoga, and that works fine, but it’s one extra thing to carry around. This hybrid concept is great because you will be anchored firmly and keep a great grip even if you’re like me and sweat a lot. I used to not like thin mats, but I’ve grown to really like them as my body has gotten used to regular yoga. This expensive, no doubt. If it’s in your budget, though, this is a great mat to buy. To me, the Olive color is by far the best of the choices they have.

I like it!
A little hard to dry after you are done, but that is absolutely to be expected. I just hang it on the door and it dries right out.

I am very happy with this mat. The soft towel surface is great for when you get sweaty palms and feet and it’s very lightweight so easy to roll and carry for yoga class. I haven’t washed it yet so we’ll se then how it holds up. The mat is quite thin, so if you have sensitive knees you WILL need some extra padding like a folded towel or yoga blanket.

Absolutely love this yoga mat – I’ve been trying to buy one for ages and wasn’t disappointed. It’s great for all types of yoga including hot yoga. The best part is it can be washed in the washing machine.
