Improving Strength and Flexibility at ALL Ages
Wow, I am really enjoying this book! This is a great resource to use with little ones all the way up to people in their nineties, not just seniors. I am a visual learner so the photos in this book make all the activities/poses easy to follow and complete. I appreciate that every pose has cues, benefits, modifications, variations, and alternatives suggested in addition to photos and links to video tutorials. It is very well organized.Kindergarteners were able to relax and calm their bodies with just one or two simple poses and it worked beautifully with each child at their own chair in their own space. I have also been using it with my 96 yr. old friend. She is successfully able to do the poses with the modifications suggested in the book. I can see her gaining strength and flexibility already, but most importantly she is gaining confidence as she sees her improved mobility and strength.I also appreciate the 28 day fitness plan that includes daily warm-ups, exercises, balance poses, and cool-down. It is very easy to follow and I love the message at the beginning of each day. For example on day 3 âInner Peace: Seek to find inner calm and tranquility, letting go of external stress and noise to focus on serenity within.â Or day 4 âGratitude: Cultivate a sense of gratitude for your body, the practice, and the opportunity to engage in self-care and personal growth.â The messages really speak to me! I am thoroughly enjoying this book and highly recommend it!

Fabulous Intro to Chair Yoga Practice
As a relatively new senior, for the past few years Iâve been intent on trying to slow down the aging process by running 5-6 days/week. Itâs been beneficial from a cardio perspective; but miserable for flexibility, balance and strength.This wonderful book opened my eyes to the benefits of chair yoga. It provides motivational tips, benefits and step-by-step instructions on each pose. Modifications are included if a particular pose is too difficult for any reason. It is not intimidating and would be a perfect book for a beginner, or a seasoned yoga veteran dealing with the issues of aging or recovery.The book is charming, informative and well written. It includes instructional photographs of each of the poses. I could not recommend this book more highly. Excited to begin my 28 day practice today!

I have learned so much from this 28-Day Chair Yoga book. It is packed full of useful information and it’s a good motivator for staying fit. The author is extremely knowlegeable and explains the exercises and science behind them in very easy-to-understand way. I hit a big miestone a few months ago – my 70th birthday -yikes! I felt old, stiff and out of shape, but this book changed my outlook. The program is easy to incorporate in my daily routine, but hard enough to make me feel like I’ve had a workout. I do it first thing in the morning and I really feel more flexible, better balanced, stronger and ready to take on the day!
