Great for Running!
I wanted mid- to low- wasted bike shorts for running because a lower waist is more flattering on my body type (nothing against high-waisted apparel). These sit about a half inch or inch below my bellybutton and look so flattering! They also stay put when I run, which helps with any rubbing between the thighs (I’m about 5’5″ and 135-140 lbs and suffer the chub rub in my thighs). These cure any discomfort and look fantastic with just this and a sports bra!I just wanted to say that it was SO difficult to find these specific bike shorts with these features: cotton blend, long enough in the leg (6″-7″ range), and mid- to low-rise! I’m so happy I found this brand! :)(also, apologies for the ridiculously messy room…I’m currently sorting through things to get rid of) 🙂

Great shorts for under dresses, esp plus size
I have been super pleased with these shorts!! They did run a bit bigger/longer than I expected, but that’s likely because I’m short. I got these to wear under dresses to prevent Chub Rub, and they have been fantastic. They don’t ride up, they’re moisture-wicking, and super comfortable all day. Being short and fat with proportional fat distribution [read: my thighs are fat, and so is my butt], I was thrilled to find these fit *everywhere*. I know this review seems enthusiastic and glowing, but when you have as much trouble finding clothes that fit well and do their job as I do, you’d be hyped too =PAll that said, some things to note for others: I do have to wear these with the waistband up above my navel/below bust due to its height, but this does help smoothe my silhouette; I have short legs with a long torso, since that’s relevant. The elastic of the band is wide and seems a little stiff, but if you keep it up above any tummy pooching [near the underbust], it’s pretty unnoticeable – I hate feeling clothes bind, constrict, rub, or put undue pressure, and it didn’t bother me. They ARE long enough that they barely or almost show below my skirts that are a little above knee-length, but again, I’ve short legs so take that into account. Most folks didn’t notice it. Also, it takes a little wiggling to get the crotch area tucked up agains the body, but if you’re gentle in the pulling and wiggling, this won’t stretch out the shorts [much] and they offer a nice, form-hugging but not constricting fit.

Proper fit vased on reviews!
Stretchy ,cotton feel and comfortable.They are a nice length and I went by suggested size.I wanted something legging style but not full length.I am going I vacation in a few weeks Recently I’ve seen bike shorts become popular and being around family or friends on vacation I want something cool but appropriate.I got something last year but didn’t like them so much.These feel comfortable and appropriate for company.You could work out in them but I dont work out.i got them for lounging and sleeping on vacation.True to size,fit well and I went by the suggested size on here.i wish they were a little lower rise but I can always fold them down if needed ,they are just for bed.

I do take dance classes, but I bought these to wear under my riding breeches instead of regular undies with a seam between the top of my thigh and bottom. Theyâre good-looking, cut well (no chafing) and the material is soft and seems durable but not heavy.

The fit is fine. The material is some kind of blend that doesn’t have enough “oomph” to be a compression garment. And it has a texture that makes other garments cling to it.Sorry, Danskin. I just don’t like your choice in material.

Cheap Substitute – Beware
I have gotten three pairs of these bike shorts before and love them. They have a wide, comfortable waistband, the length is a true 7″ and the material is smooth, soft and holds up well in washing. Love them. I just ordered another pair and unfortunately, put them in the wash straightaway without checking. They are CHEAP, tacky, thin cotton with a 1/2″ elastic in the wide waistband so I know will roll and not lie flat. The fit is not smooth and the proportions are off so the legs are tight and the waist loose. A totally different product than advertised and what had been previously shipped (3 times). The original product (as advertised) was worth the $20 but what I just received is not even worth $5. Very disappointed in Danskin and Amazon fulfillment for the ‘switcheroo’ of a very inferior product. Buyer beware – even if you use ‘order again’ – because you might get cheap crap.

I have quite a variety of leggings/shorts and Danskin is by far my favorite….they fit like they’re tailor made. This is my first pair of shorts I’m 5’5″ and the leg s.tops right where I like….the only 2 cons I have are that they don’t come in more colors and I wish they had pockets…..definitely will purchase more. Btw I am a 59 yr old woman and lg so 2X fits me perfectly….I love to wear my leggings out with a nice long top and they hold up so well they don’t loose their shape or color…I have no dried them in a dryer â¦.

I like the material; I donât get hot wearing these. I also like the length – they donât ride up when I walk. These fit a little big and I found that they stretch out after a few washes, so I wish I had bought the size smaller.
