5 stars…Great with just a couple small things
Great yoga mat, vast improvement over 4 others we have tried over the years. (See pics)Pros:Sturdy, thick and firm. Just what we needed. If you want “pillow, soft” this is not that type.IT DOES NOT SLIP (on tile). I just completed my first routine on a tile floor = no slipping or movement.It is plenty long enough for my 6′ 2″ frame in any pose, prone, kneeling standing with room to spare. (See pics with measurements)The surface seems sweat resistant and easy to wipe down….it’s not like a sponge.Great support for knees and boney body points. Cushion with support, nice.There was little to no oder of the material.Cons:After unboxing and letting it lie flat a couple of hours, I rolled up the mats and stored them in a Rubbermaid bin with orher mats. But when I unrolled one the next morning, it must have been slightly pinched on the side and has left an indentation on the edge x2. I guess you can’t have everything, you may think this picky but…be careful how you store this mat or you may have a crease or indentation that may stay for how long I am not sure, but by the end of my routine they were still there ( See pic)It’s a little tough to get the mat the right size rolled up to fit and attach the velcro strap. May just be a learning curve. But I did not want to roll it too tight ad because like with other mats the ends can be difficult to lie completely flat ( See pic )UPDATE: After using this for about a month now I can say it’s 5 star. Any creases will correct themselves over time, the curling on the ends can be elieviatted by rolling in the opposite direction to lie flat.I have come up with a way to get it back in the velcro holder. 1. Place the holder on the floor seams up. 2. Roll the mat to diameter that will fit, 3. Place one end of mat seam of mat down to one end and secure. 4. Move mat up and over to 2nd side to secure.All issues resolved. Great mat.

Best Yoga Mat
I have just purchased my second Bell& Howell yoga mat after two years of daily use. It is comfortable and non-slip. You can clean it with disinfectant and water. If it rolls one way, just store it the opposite way the next time. Velcro carrier is handy too.

I love using my new mat for pilates and ab work. It does not move on my carpet. There was no odor. The TPE material and 1/2″ thickness are a welcome feature for extra wrist support. This material seems to stand up much better than my previously purchased mat made of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber.There are a few nitpicky things. Since it is so thick it’s more like rolling up a sleeping bag than a mat. It’s hard to pick off fuzz or the occasional cat hair on the wavy side. I’m not sure I’d like it for yoga because while it is very supportive it’s not easy to “slide” into a pose. The material wants to keep you stable.

ive tried numerous mats for various things and this is by far the best. its thick, sturdy, and does not smell! it has enough stick for yoga and so much cushion for exercise. its very long and my husband can use it with ease (he is 6’2″). great look and very durable. rolls up nicely with the strap that is included. ill never use a thin mat again!
