Clear and accessible path to enlightenment
This is the fourth volume of a four volume work by the same author. The previous three volumes are just great, as much for the huge amount of irrelevant material they eliminate from consideration as for the instruction they give. A lot of unneeded Sanskrit verbiage never occurs. A lot of unneeded poses and unnecessary philosophy are just gone. It doesn’t appear, and what a blessing it doesn’t. The previous volumes tell you quite clearly the aspects of yoga that are needed for spiritual advancement, how to do them (nearly enough), and why those are needed practices. I thought the other volumes told the whole story. This volume is very necessary, showing what a person has to do during the great part of the day which is not included in even a long practice session of the core yoga. It describes how we need to comport ourselves in the rest of the day to have the best advantage from yoga practice and to have a chance to realize enlightenment in our own lifetimes. It’s a great book. I have three or four yoga books besides these that I love as references and wouldn’t want to give away, but these books are unsurpassed and indispensable. It isn’t useless to read them, but the only real point is to begin a serious practice immediately and just keep it going. It’s not useless to praise the books, but it is more useful to practice.

Let each chapter act as a polished mirror, showing your true reflection.
Truth can never be intellectually learned from books, but can only be realized and experienced by oneself. But this book is a roadmap, shedding light into our one and greatest enemy in the path: the EGO. These precious writings not only make you aware of some of our Ego’s little tricks but also teaches how you can catch it in action and stop it. Actually, it’s not a matter of learning, but unlearning, of letting go.Understanding some of the Ego’s tactics, it’s easier to become aware of what’s going on in our minds and thoughts. Each chapter should be slowly digested. This is not a book to be read in a hurry. Let each chapter sink in, meditate on it’s words, let it’s words become life in your life.Santata has a genuine way of putting things simple and easy to understand. Don’t expect big Sanskrit terminology and hard to grasp concepts. But also simple doesn’t mean shallow, or as Albert Einstein would say: “The definition of genius is taking the complex and making it simple.”. I could not recommend this book enough to anyone who has a sincere desire to realize the truth. If this is your first book by the author, I would recommend his other books as well, each one complements the other.”The ego can even grab positive attributes such as humility and compassion, attempting to appear humble and as a saint, but it’s still a camouflaged, feeding off such characteristics, Although externally it might look as if it were true humility, below the surface, the ego might be “Oh, look at how humble and spiritual I am.””Be what you already are. Don’t be afraid to be nothing. To be the whole, you have to become nothing”

    Each book becomes a favourite.
I’ve probably read this one the most times. I find the writing style quite refreshing. To me it seems unpolished, but in a raw, honest and powerful manner. The 25 practices have been instrumental at different times. Its been a joy to explore them. Of the few spiritual books I have read in the past, all the authors seem to hit a mind wall and can go no further. They just seem to be feeling their way through their topics, randomly tossing in quotes etc. Sometimes they keep running into that wall to the point it seems cruel for me to read on any further. These books come from a perspective of height that can see all the various relativities at play; unravelling their riddles instead of being tangled up in them. For me this one is a real stand out.

    Enlightenment in Words
Like many seekers, I’ve read hundreds of spiritual books, but this one might be the best. The book aims directly at helping you see how the ego operates, and how it limits awareness and causes suffering. I’m finding the ideas here extremely helpful in letting go of ego attachments in real time, and coming back to the present moment more often. There is only so much you can achieve with words, when it comes to understanding the deepest spiritual truths, but I think many people will find that this book gets very close that limit.

Simple and Straight to the Point of Being
Unfortunately the EgoMind is the very obstacle that blocks our experience of Consciousness through its need to feel secure in its existence and power. Even the so-called Spiritual Path can become another game for it’s entertainment where the more Practices you learn and the more retreats you do, the more you learn about the rules of the Manifest but the further you get from Being. You cannot know Consciousness through the senses, mind and body, you can only BE it. and this is the main message in all of SantataGamana’s books. His books are Simple and Straight directions towards falling back into Being. At great risk to his reputation, the author makes this plain. Rather than dazzle his readers with accumulating more fingers that point, he encourages us to let go of the directions and the preparatory excercises once they are no longer of use, and simply enjoy Being the Moon.

Solid Info devoid of prejudice, agenda, and ego
Trying to avoid my own predilection, biases, and subjectivity, I have to give this book and the series of 5 which come from the same author / source, my absolute highest recommendation. It, and the series may not speak to every reader as clearly as they do to me because of my own life experience. 50 + years of TM and 20+ years of advanced practice are all of a sudden so nicely enhanced and enlivened by the insight and broadly, yet detailed, gems shared by this all to humble author. The results from my very short exposure to the treasures shared in this series exceed my ability to describe them. If spiritual expansion is a goal you value, please give book one a look. You may end up, like me, acquiring all 5 for multiple rereads. Clear, inspired, detailed, yet presented so simply. Namaste Fireman Wes

    Excellent insight
I have read a lot of these kinds of books, best of the best in my opinion. The whole series is a treasure trove. Excellent.

Will pick it up again and again to refresh my knowledge. My meditations have become more profound right away. It’s well structured, non-dogmatic and practical and applicable. It can be read with no prior spiritual knowledge but I recommend to also read one of the Kriya or Kundalini Yoga books so you can pick a very effective technique for your spiritual/energetic practice (Sadhana). The knowledge of this book will then deepen your experience still more and guide you in complete non-duality.

This is a must read on non duality together with with Rupert Spira’s book “Being aware of being aware” and Alessandro Sanna’s book “The Direct Experience”.

I was really impressed with the delivery of this book. Most of what is written is expounded in a really direct and easy to understand way. Reader does have to have sufficient knowledge in the topic to understand the deeper messaging. I especially enjoyed and resonated with the discussions on the ego, a lot fell into place. After finishing the book, I feel that all my intellectual endeavours in enlightenment are complete. I’m happy to focus on practice now. Highly recommend.
