    Elevating yoga teaching
This is a book primarily aimed at yoga teachers but could also obviously be used by a student. It gives 108 themes organised into seasons of the year which I thought was a nice touch. Each theme gives examples of opening scripts, music, poses, breath work, transitions and closing scripts. The author skillfully balances the spiritual and physical aspects of yoga, making it suitable for teachers of all levels.

    Treasure trove of inspiration
The variety of themes is incredible, with clear guidance on poses, breathwork, and even music suggestions. It’s easy to mix and match elements to create a personalized session, and the tips for designing sequences are so helpful.Highly recommend for anyone looking to add depth and creativity to their yoga practice or teaching.

    lot of knowledge here
Ms. Redfern has put together an encyclopedia on Yoga. She talks about moods, themes, how to breathe, and what Asanas to do and when.a book every Yoga teacher should have.Good job.

    Helpful Book
I enjoyed reading this book and learning how to create a perfect yoga class . Many tips on what a great yoga teacher should do and look for. I also loved all the yoga class themes.

  5. Julia J.

    Unique resource for yoga teachers
This book is a great collection of yoga themes for teachers to use in class. Unique idea and a great resource for putting a class together. Well done book.

    It was Okay
As I said above, I think the book is OK. I really like how the author added a new twist on yoga, talking about the teams and why breathing is important. How it influences your soul. I liked all of that. What I didn’t like was trying to talk about how to do poses without showing pictures other than simple drawings. I’m not a fan of that. It’s just easier to look up on a video, so I wish there were pictures added to this.

    Great Yoga themes book!
I’m a fan and practitioner of Yoga but by no means an expert. I didn’t really know what “themes” were, but not I do, as this book also gives a lot of excellent background on everything from breathing to music selection before detailing 108 Themes reflecting aspects such as seasons, gratitude, self-love, harmony, and many other ways to focus and diversify your Yoga routine for different goals. This works as an excellent guide for both teachers and practitioners and is highly recommended overall!

A Treasure Trove of Inspiration for Yoga Teachers and Students!
“108 Yoga Themes” is an invaluable resource packed with creative class ideas, sequences, and scripts that make every yoga session meaningful and transformative. With its comprehensive themes and practical guidance, this book is a must-have for anyone looking to deepen their yoga practice or teaching.

  9. Natalie

Each theme presents a fresh perspective that is easy to integrate into practice. The book also offers practical tips that cater to both beginners and seasoned practitioners.

  10. FurAndFiction

Certainly! Here’s a revised version including your additional point:This book is an excellent resource for anyone aspiring to become a yoga teacher. It focuses on essential elements such as cultivating emotional intelligence and gratitude, and creating a deeper sense of purpose for students. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of crafting an environment where students feel heard and motivated. With a wide range of themes to choose from—such as embracing acceptance, nurturing the inner mind, embracing change, and exploring different seasons—this book provides abundant inspiration. While it offers many yoga sequences, I found the first part particularly inspiring, motivating me to develop dynamic classes that truly represent my own journey and help others find happiness and peace.

  11. catherine

In a world where yoga has seemingly become yet another gym class with breathing and asana’s, this book brought me back the true meaning of yoga as a way of life. I loved the practical aspects of this book, the sequences are really useful, as well as the deep insights. I particularly love the suggested music & hz frequencies to compliment the sequences.
