Soft and Thick! Awesome quality
I purchased this for my husband to start working out with me. Apparently, during this quarantine, everyone is trying to buy black yoga mats! I am glad I found this for a good price. First thing I noticed how soft it was. Like super super soft! This is gonna be great considering he was working out on the hardwood floor with a towel. The mat itself is about 1/2 inch thick which is thicker than the old mat I got from Amazon. It also came with a little knee pad mat? I think that’s what it is. It’s always nice to have a little bonus with your purchase. The mat also comes with a 2-year warranty, which is nice. I do plan to just take care of it and use it at home, so hopefully, I won’t have to redeem that. I am super happy with this purchase, especially sometimes you aren’t sure if you are getting a thick mat buying online. Also one last thing that I thought was really nice. The straps that hold the mat have velcro. My old mat, I have to loop the straps over twice to hold it together, if that makes sense. This makes it a lot easier to store and put it away.

High quality, incredible price
I bought this in the fall of 2022, as I transitioned from working out in a gym to building my own gym at home, and I am impressed with this mat. To begin with, it is long, and I can lie down fully stretched (I’m 5’8) and there’s still a good length of mat left over. The mat is thick and very cushioning, and actually has helped me to engage in ever-more challenging calisthenic exercises, as all that padding makes it a little less painful on my hands and fingers. The price was definitely one of the salient qualities. Over the last 10 months, the mat has not deformed nor lost it’s softness. The only downside that I have found is the somewhat funky smell, which I stop noticing pretty quickly after I get going with my workouts.Should you get it, from my own experience, you would not go wrong with it.

Great for every day basic stretching and simple floor workouts
I purchased a BalanceFrom exercise mat about five months ago that included 2 yoga blocks, 2 different sized yoga towels, the exercise mat, knee pad, and strap that holds the rolled up mat. Great price for all of that included.I got it and use it for basic stretching and simple workouts where you are mostly on the floor (I have not done high-intensity workouts on it). I have never worn shoes on it, only socks or bare feet. Have never noticed any strange chemical smell from it. No rips or tears in it thus far. Iâm probably relatively gentle with it.This mat ended up staying at my boyfriendâs house (because I am there half the time) so a month ago I purchased the same mat from this BalanceFrom brand to keep at home (this time the one that comes with just mat and kneepad).No carpet in either of our homes and I find this mat (these mats) perfectly comfortable for stretching atop hardwood and concrete floors, even without the knee pad. Iâm about 115 lbs. The knee pad adds a great extra cushion though for certain stretches and is also like a nice more travel-friendly mini-mat that I have packed in a suitcase before. Works for quick stretches where, say, only your hands touch floor or ab workout where only your butt touches floor.I store the longest mat rolled up with the floor side facing out, sometimes use the velcro strap but not always needed if just standing or setting it in my bedroom rolled up. No problems flattening out when I go to use it.I really have no complaints about this mat, it continues to serve the purpose extremely well, so well that I purchased another one obviously. Great value.

Great yoga mat for the price!
This was the least expensive yoga mat I could find on Amazon, which is the primary reason I decided to give it a try. I think I got a good deal for the price I paid.I really like the color I chose. The shade of blue shown in the listing is exactly the same as the actual color of the mat.Straight out of the box, the mat had a faint chemical smell. I’m very sensitive to synthetic chemicals and their odors, but I didn’t find this smell bothersome.The included strap for storing/carrying the mat is wide and sturdy. It stays on securely without slipping off and adjusts easily with velcro. The adjustable handle on the strap allows the mat to be carried around without the need for a separate bag.The mat is described as ½ inch thick in the listing. It’s close to ½ inch at it’s widest point, but not quite.I would definitely not describe the foam material as “high density”. It’s soft and has a lot of give, which may not be supportive enough if you’re going to try something like balancing on your head. Moves like that would probably require a higher quality mat. I’ve been using it on carpet and find it more than adequate for gentle yin yoga.The “wavy” side of the mat provides good grip for yin yoga. I haven’t tried using it for hot yoga yet. The smooth side of the mat is a bit slippery for hands and feet. If I put it smooth side down, it doesn’t slip on carpet. I tested it on a hard floor once, and it didn’t slide around.The included knee pad is very useful. It’s made of the same material as the mat itself. That little bit of extra cushioning under the knees can make a big difference in comfort if you need a little more support for your joints like I do.I haven’t had this yoga mat for very long and can’t say much about it’s durability yet. If it doesn’t hold up well with frequent, light use, I’ll update my review.Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and would gladly recommend this Everyday Essentials ½ inch yoga mat. ðð

Ik wou een eigen pilatesmat aankopen omdat ik niet meer de gemeenschappelijke in de studio wou gebruiken. Ik ben doelbewust op zoek gegaan naar een extra dikke mat en deze sprak mij aan omdat hij van zichzelf al dik was, maar er ook een extra dik stuk bij was voor de polsen of knieën. Het is degelijk materiaal dat stabiel en comfortabel is, maar beide stukken waren spijtig genoeg maar 1cm dik idpv de 1,27cm en 1,9cm.

I was worried that this mat would slip due to the thickness of it but it doesn’t slip at all! It provides plenty of cushion without being too soft so there are no issues with balancing on it. The knee pad is a wonderful added bonus for exercises like lunges. A convenient carry strap is also included. Great product for a great price!
